Jack & Abigail are still stuck in the elevator while Jenn & Cameron try to get the doors open. Jack talks to Abigail about how proud he is of her and talks about when she was a child. It was such a sentimental & sweet scene. Cameron & Jenn eventually get the door open wide enough while Jack grabs her and puts her thru the door. Meanwhile the cables are snapping and there was no time to get Jack out. All you see is the cables totalling snapping.
I honestly cried during these scenes. Kate Manzi & Matt Ashford were fantastic together!

I can't comment yet. I need to pull myself together first.

Jack and Abby were the best part of the show for the second day in a row, in my opinion.

I agree. They were the best part of the show. Kate Mansi hit it out of the park. I was sobbing right along with her. Very good scenes.

I loved it when Jack said that Abby was a born cynic and his 3 favorite words are "told you so." That was so Jack. They really shared some sweet, heartfelt moments.
I am SO MAD at Jennifer and Cameron though. First, they stand around bolstering each other's egos instead of helping with the rescue. Then Jenn pretty much does nothing to help out. She's not a weakling. Her family is trapped. Don't leave it to some other guy to do all the work. Do something.
And then (yes friends, I'm not done ranting) they let the elevator door close as soon as Abigail is out, without checking to see if Jack is safe. I hope they suffer tons of guilt.

I'm sure the guilt will be oozing from all directions.
To be fair, though, it did happen so fast, and Abigail was shell shocked and blubbering. I can't blame a mother for her kid making sure her baby was safe in the moment.

I would have preferred some other scenes cut today and more of Jack/Abby. The scenes were really touching. They were far and away the best part of today's show.
