I just loved how they were going around town today trying to dig up dirt, starting with their encounter at Java.
Vivian's line about admiring Kate's guts for going out in public without making was priceless. I might have made a crack about Kate's hairstyle, but that's another story. And Kate jabbing her right back with a wisecrack about Vivian's age was so Kate.
I thought it was amusing that Victor referred to himself as King Lear while Stefano agreed that he was the leader of the pack. I am picturing Stefano in a leather jacket on a Harley.
And the way Kate wormed everything she needed to know out of Sami was genius. She got Sami's trust under the guise of caring for the grandchildren. She was so kind and caring and got Sami to spill her guts. Sami was heartbreaking in those scenes, coming to the realization that she can't continue to live with Rafe anymore.
Vivian was not quite as successful getting Nicole to join her team. But it was great seeing Viv and Nicole go toe to toe.
I thought these were all great scenes, dialogue, acting, emoting. What did you all think?

It looks like Nicole is still thinking about it....and i did like the Kate/Sami scene... sometimes when you are upset, all you need is someone showing some caring for you to breakdown as Sami did. Maybe I am wrong, but it did seem like Kate cared.. yep, I'm probably wrong.

I just figured it out...It's Vivian that discovers the truth about Rafe and then proceeds to tell Kate about it & the part about hurting Allie... Kate leaves Stefano and then tells Sami the truth about Rafe....
That's why this scene occurred today...

I could see that happening, but what's in it for Vivian by telling Kate? Vivian never does anything without self-interest.

I know Viv is bat-sh*t crazy, but why on Earth would she want to go up against Stefano??? That HAS to be the dumbest thing she has ever done. Stefano will squash her like a bug. I seriously doubt Viv could in ANY way outsmart Stefano. This could be fun!

I only got to see bits and pieces of today's show, but I liked both Viv and Kate in the scenes I saw......I much prefer seeing Vivian go after someone like Stefano than that stupid crap about Carly and Melanie.... I don't even care which one of them comes out on top, I just like watching the battle...and then throw Kate into the mix and we've got some great stuff to watch.....

I think Viv does want Stefano. She seems to want whatever man Kate has.

I don't think the writers know what to do with Viv so they have her follow Kate b/c she's a burr in Kate's britches.
That said, what I'd like to see...she keeps poking around and she finally lands herself in the psyche ward. She finds Rafe, and discovers real Rafe.

Kate leaves Stefano and then tells Sami the truth about Rafe.... That's why this scene occurred today... I so hope it happens like that - that would be awesome! As for what's in it for Viv, a number of things. She gets to create chaos. She gets a win over Stefano. She gets Kate owing her one ... and may even hope she can lure Kate into a false sense of security. She makes brownie points with Philip for helping out his niece. Once upon a time, Viv looked on Sami and Lucas as mentorees that she admired in her own messed up way. And probably best of all, beating out Stefano at something makes her a force to be reckoned with again in Salem ... the Salemites showed that they viewed her as a laughingstock through their recent actions ... this would put her back in the game so to speak as a relevant player.

The only flaw that I see of Viv discovering Rafe when she is sent to the asylum is that it is a repeat of the story when she, long ago, was sent to an asylum and ended up breaking Laura Horton out. Was there a fire? I think Laura's issues had to do with Kate having an affair with Bill Horton. Tangled webs, people.

What? Repetitive story lines on Days? Preposterous!

It was weird seeing Stefano in leathers on a bike...in my head or not. Leader of the pack he is not. I so see Victor referring to himself as King Lear tho...he's going to see himself as the victim in the end. I tend to agree with Brady, no matter how much it's helped hif relationship with Maggie; Victor underestimating Vivian is the reason so many thing went wrong since her return to Salem. Vic pretty much got off scot free while so many other Salemites paid dearly for his mistake.
I'm just glad Vivian gets to do something besides the crap they have been giving her. I love Vivian and her unpredictableness is why. Plus I love her sidekicks. I wish I could get a man to do crazy stuff for me. Heck it's hard enough to get the oil changed...lol!
