And, here goes Victor, once again resorting to name calling and yelling at Nicole. He's blaming "stress" from Melanie's situation, but I think he just absolutely hates Nicole and would have reacted that way anyway.
Meanwhile, it's implied that Maggie approves of Nicole, which I'm thinking is totally out of character for her. She used to warn Brady and Lucas to steer clear of Nicole, but is accepting now that it's her own son.
I know she's stressed about Mel and sees how good Nicole has been caring for Daniel (in one moment), but I am not sure that she'd really be that forgiving and accepting of Nicole. Thoughts?

I was thrilled to see Victor finally acting like himself. I DON'T like him treating Nicole that way but it was good to see the real Victor again. We even got Chloe, Philip and Vivian mentions today. Maybe Maggie figures Daniel and Nicole are more of a rebound thing. She may have different thoughts if they become serious. It also made Maggie angry to see Victor treat her that way.
I liked Daniel standing up to Victor. I loved Daniel asking if Victor told Philip who he could or couldn't sleep with. Victor said he tried but you can see how well that worked out.

I think Victor was actually implying that he preferred Chloe over Nicole. Did hell freeze over?
I'd love to see a conversation between Nicole and Daniel about what happened at Victor's house. I'd like to see her reaction to Daniel standing up for her.

I like Nicole, but I don't blame Victor for continuing to harbor resentment toward a woman who HAD HIM MURDERED.
I did love Daniel and Victor's rundown of each of their judgment in women, ending with Victor barking, "Chloe was stupid... vapid... a bottomless pit of need!" I died.

Loved the extended Philip mention. Loved Victor voicing his opinion. I hate when he always yields to Maggie's wishes. Hated Maggie today. The actress does not do a convincing job of crying. She never has. I completely disagree with the way Maggie was handling Victor. It's okay to side with her son but it was unnecessary to belittle and insult Victor in the process. I didn't find it one bit funny when Maggie said she can see why Nicole attempted to kill Victor. Victor did not deserve that. All he's doing is trying to reason with Daniel based on firsthand, not secondhand, experience with Nicole. Right or wrong, his intentions were good. He was being protective of his godson. When Maggie said "you don't know my son very well," I thought that was totally condescending. She must have forgotten that Victor has known Daniel for about 40 years longer than she has.

I agreed with Maggie that that wasn't the time for it with Melanie missing.

Yeah, that "you don't know MY son" kind of got under my skin too. Victor DOES know Daniel a helluva lot better than Maggie does.

Actually, I side with Maggie (though I don't blame Victor's anger. I love Victor/Nicole sparring matches). He is out of line telling Daniel (a grown man) who he can/cannot date.

I think these were definitely scenes where the writers got over-excited to give Maggie some sass, but they made her come off like kind of an idiot in the process. Regardless, those were the best Victor/Maggie scenes we've gotten in a good six months, so I hope it's a sign of what's to come with Tomlin/Whitesell.

I agree that the Maggie pendulum went too far this time. She actually sounded more Victor than Victor. But I agree with Mikey -- hopefully better days to come for two of my favorite characters.

I really think that they balance each other out. When Victor is nasty, so is Maggie. They compliment each other well.
