I started watching General Hospital a few years ago because I stumbled upon the oh-so-delicious-looking Tyler Christopher. Well GH has canned him apparently and I would love love love Days to grab him.  Oh my I would love to see him and Ari together. |

I don't religiously watch GH but our Kazz here kind of got me into it. I watch it once or twice a week. I really like Tyler Christopher and his caracter on GH. I was sad to learn he had been let go. I agree with you in thinking that Days should bring him on! Great idea Puddleduck!

I really like Tyler as an actor (and eye candy) as well as his character Nikolas and would have loved to have him on Days. However, I think his being let go was a bit mutual in that he is already booked with another ABC program that will be starting (perhaps GH jumped the gun a bit because it fits in with current storylines but it sounds like Tyler was already planning to leave for the new job?) www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/21/tyler-christopher-leaving-general-hospital/My prayer to Days PTB is to watch some episodes of GH to see how to utilize a mix of characters and build stories around characters and their relationships with each other ... maybe they could make a few notes on how to make Days' long term villains (i.e., Stefano & EJ) more multidimensional and human while they're at it. |

He supposedly tweeted that it wasn't mutual and he didn't want to leave. He isn't sure if his other show will pan out. (liberally paraphrasing there).
Eta: here is the tweet: seems to b some misconception that it was my choice to leave GH and do the lying game. Not so. I was let go unconditionally.

^^ Hmm, that is interesting ... both that they did it and that he made a point of clarifying it. I don't blame him I would want the truth clarified also.
At the very least, I'm hoping they let Nikolas take Brooke Lynn with him when he goes.

There had been plans to let Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) go but thankfully that didn't happen. I don't even know the actress' name that plays Brooke Lynn but I sure hope you're right that that character is going away.
