Charles Shaughnessy's final air date as ISA agent Shane Donovan is May 23. "It was fast and furious," says Shaughnessy of his short, 10-day return. As for Shane's exit, Shaughnessy shares, "He says, 'I'm going to go pick up a file. I'll be back, later.' But he doesn't actually return. So he's still there somewhere, unless he got on a plane." The actor would be amenable to another return. "Absolutely," insists Shaughnessy. "As an actor, it's a great job. It's steady and you're telling a new story every day." Renee Jones makes her final appearance as Lexie Carver on June 28. Previous reports noted that the actress would last air on June 20, which makes one wonder if, perhaps, the character could be making a visit as a ghost. Austin and Carrie fans take note. Patrick Muldoon and Christie Clark, who taped their final scenes on April 25 and April 26, respectively, will say goodbye to Salem on July 24. Sarah Brown exits as cosmetic queen Madison James on August 15. Matthew Ashford's last scene as Jack airs on August 15, as well. Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Doug and Julie) are headed back to Salem, this summer. I will be super sad to see Matt go, but I'll be shouting "THANK YOU" to the soap gods to see Madison go. I'll be one of the few that is sad to see Carrie (and, grudgingly Austin) go, but I like the angst that may come with it.

I hate to see Matt Ashford leave. I feel like he could add so much to the show if the writers could and would write him a good storyline. Is Missy Reeves leaving, too?

I keep expecting to hear that Missy is leaving. She is never on so I'll be surprised if she stays much longer. Unless the new writers actually plan to write for her character.

I've been thinking the same thing. I hate they are having Jack leave her yet again.. I hope they have his exit make some sense and not make him look irresponsible again. |
