Sounds like a very nice funeral, but poor Sami. She is grieveing her father and soon she will grieve her sister.
So glad they let Rex talk considering no one bothered to call him about his father's death.

Very heartfelt words from his family. I wonder how Sami will take the news of Carrie's murder.

Chapter 19 CEMETERY a large group of people stood around a grave site. In the center, there was a casket. Each member of the group had a flower. One by one, they put the flowers on the casket. ERIC (whispering): Goodbye, Dad. Eric put his flower on the casket. Next was Sami, who was too choked up to say anything. After her, Cassie and Rex went together. After all the flowers were laid down, the Priest went up to the casket. PRIEST: We now come to the final resting place of our brother, Roman. Though we know that this is not the end for him, but the beginning of his eternal life with our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Forasmuch as it hath pleased Almighty God of his great mercy to take unto himself the soul of our dear brother, Roman, here departed, we therefore commit his body to the ground; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to eternal life, through our Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it may be like unto his glorious body, according to the mighty working, whereby he is able to subdue all things to himself. We pray. Everyone bowed their heads. PRIEST: Oh Lord, we ask that You keep our dear brother Roman in Your arms. We pray that Your Holy Spirit be with his friends and family. That You might bring them comfort in this time. And we pray that You watch over us and bless us now and all the days of our lives. Amen. CONGREGATION: Amen. The Priest picked up the flowers and divided them in fourths. Some he gave to Bo, some to Frankie, some to Max, and some to Kayla. Then, slowly, the casket was lowered into the ground. Everyone at the scene was crying. When the casket was lowered, the Priest nodded to Bo. BO: Thank you, Father. For those of you who wish to join us, you're all more than welcome to come over to the Pub tonight for some good food, good friends, and great memories of Roman.

Chapter 20
1 Year Later... WILL AND SONNY'S HOUSE It was late at night. Will was sitting on the couch in the living room of the home he and Sonny lived in. Grace, whom Will had succeeded in adopting in the interim year, came into the room. Will looked up and put his book down. WILL: Hey. GRACE: Hey. WILL: What are you still doing up? GRACE: Couldn't sleep. WILL: Another nightmare? Grace nodded. WILL: Come here. Grace sat down on the couch next to Will and laid her head on his shoulder. Will put his arm around her. GRACE: Daddy? WILL: Yes, sweetheart? GRACE: Tell me what exactly happened. Last year, while you were in Salem. WILL: It's a long story. GRACE: I wanna know. What happened? Will thought for a moment. WILL: You really wanna know? Grace nodded. WILL: A DiMera.

Chapter 21 SYDNEY'S BEDROOM It is the day after Roman's funeral. Sydney was getting ready for school. Her cell phone rang. The caller and their number were unknown. SYDNEY: Hello? An obviously mechanically altered voice spoke. VOICE (VO, over phone): I know what you did. SYDNEY: Who is this? VOICE (VO, over phone): I was there. I saw you. SYDNEY: Who's calling? VOICE (VO, over phone): You're a very naughty little girl. Sydney hung up her phone, quickly. SALEM PLACE Cassie was sitting at a table. Will walked up to her. WILL: Cassie. CASSIE: You're Sami's son, right? WILL: Yep. Will Horton. CASSIE: What can I do for you? WILL: We need to talk. CASSIE: About what? WILL: About what happened to Aunt Carrie a few nights ago. CASSIE: I know. It was awful, wasn't it? WILL: Yeah, it was. Especially considering that she was killed by her own half-sister.
