Chapter 3

POLICE STATION
It is now the next day in Salem. The middle of the afternoon to be precise. Bo was sitting in his office. After a few moments, a police officer came in.
REIBER: Captain Brady?
Bo looked up.
BO: Come on in, Officer Reiber.
Reiber walked in and took a seat.
REIBER: We have our first lead as to who may have shot Commissioner Brady.
BO: Well, come on, J.T.! Spit it out!
J.T.: Of course, sir.
J.T. picked up a small nearby trash can and spit out some gum.
J.T.: Sorry sir.
BO: That's all right. Now, tell me about the lead.
J.T.: You're not gonna like it.
J.T. handed Bo an envelope. Bo opened it and looked at it
BO: Oh, you've gotta be kidding me.
J.T.: I wish I was.
BO: There is no way that this is possible. I mean, we haven't heard from this guy in years.
J.T.: I'm as surprised as you are.
Bo sighed and put down the paper.
BO: Where did he go wrong?
There was a knock at the door.
BO: Come in!
The door opened. Shane Donovan walked in, with an attractive, intimidating woman in her mid-30s following.
BO: Shane Donovan.
SHANE: Good to see you, Bo.
Bo and Shane shook hands.
SHANE: I'm sure you remember my daughter.
BO: Jeannie. It's been so long since I've seen you. You look amazing!
JEANNIE: Thanks, Uncle Bo.
Jeannie and Bo hugged.
SHANE: So, what's the story?
BO: Shane, Jeannie, this is Police Officer J.T. Reiber. Officer Reiber here has just informed me that we have a lead.
Bo picked up the paper and handed it to Shane. Shane looked at it. He then handed it to Jeannie.
SHANE: You cannot be serious.
J.T.: Sadly, I am.
There was a collective sigh.
SHANE: They're gonna be crushed.

Hmm wonder who it is.

JT is all grown & working with Bo...how great is that! & I forgot about Jeannie Donovan. Shame on me thinking it would be Andrew.
Now who is it they could be talking about? Who's gonna be crushed?

JT! I love it that JT is a cop. I wonder who Bo and JT are talking about. Could be almost anyone. Looking forward to finding out.

Chapter 4

POLICE STATION
BO: Is it really that big of a surprise? After all of the stunts he's pulled?
SHANE: Well, I will admit that he has been a bit of a loose cannon in the past. But, even I didn't think he could stoop so low.
JEANNIE: Could someone please fill me in please? This guy has the last name Horton. He can't be all that bad.
BO: This Horton can. Jeremy Horton's been the culprit behind many crimes ranging from theft to smuggling people into the country.
JEANNIE: But, he's a Horton. I thought that they were all saints.
SHANE: Most of them are. The majority of the Horton family are all wonderful people. Except Jeremy.
BO: Plus, just because someone comes from a certain family doesn't mean that they're definitely going to act a certain way. Look at the DiMeras. Most of them are pure evil. All except Tony and Benjy. And look what happened with them. Both were killed by their own father.
SHANE: As I recall, wasn't Benjy technically killed by André, Tony's cousin?
BO: Oh, yeah. I kinda get them mixed up. That was a long time ago. But André's dead, too. At least we'll never see him again.
J.T.: So, what's the plan, Captain?
BO: The plan is find Jeremy Horton and bring him in for questioning.

DIMERA MANSION
André was standing in the living room of the Mansion, talking on his phone.
ANDRE: Really? You'll be back that soon?
Pause.
ANDRE: Excellent. You and I have some work to do.
Pause.
ANDRE: Of course I delivered the messages for you. What do you think I am, an idiot? Your messages have most certainly been delivered. I saw to it personally.
Pause.
ANDRE: Wonderful. I look forward to it.

REX & MIMI'S HOUSE
There was a knock at the door. Rex opened it to reveal Cassie.
REX: Cass.
CASSIE: Rex!
The two siblings hugged.
REX: What's taken you so long?
CASSIE: I'm sorry, okay. Flights from Chicago to New York don't just happen overnight. Besides, at least I'm here now. So, what's up?
REX: You, um, you might want to sit down for this.
Rex and Cassie went over and sat down on a couch.
CASSIE: What's up?
REX: Well, I figured that you would have heard the news by now
CASSIE: What news? What's going on?
Rex sighed.
REX: I don't really know what the right way to tell you this would be.
CASSIE: Rex, you're scaring me. Whatever it is, just say it.
REX: Dad's dead.
CASSIE: What?
REX: I don't know any of the details, except that he got shot late a few nights ago while he was at the police station.
Cassie started crying. She put her head on her brother's shoulder. Rex wrapped his arms around her.

Jeremy. Never saw that one coming.

A Jeremy mention is a surprise, but also surprised Rex & Cassie were never informed of Roman's death... Wonder if Jeremy has anything to do with Andre?

Chapter 5

POLICE STATION
JEREMY (VO): This is all just a big misunderstanding!
Two cops brought Jeremy Horton into Bo's office. Shane and Jeannie were sitting on either side of Bo. The two cops who dragged him in sat Jeremy down in a chair across the table from Bo.
JEREMY: Uncle Bo, please explain to these two that I have no idea what they're arresting me for.
BO: Cut the crap, Jeremy. We know it was you.
JEREMY: Look, how can it be me when I don't even know what you're talking about?
BO: Your fingerprints were found on the gun that was used to kill my brother, Roman.
JEREMY: Commissioner Brady's dead. Dude, I'm real sorry to hear that. But, you have to know, I had nothing to do with his death.
BO: So, why would your fingerprints be on the gun used to kill him, then?
JEREMY: I don't know! Maybe someone planted them there.
BO: Or, maybe you're trying to use that sweet innocent act to con your way out of another spot on your record!
JEREMY: Look, I know I haven't been the best guy in the world. I know I've done some pretty questionable things...
SHANE: Oh, I would count grand theft auto, fraud, and the smuggling of people across the country as more than questionable.
JEREMY: Who the hell are you, English? And who is that foxy lady sitting next to you?
SHANE: Special Agent Donovan, ISA.
JEANNIE: And the other Special Agent Donovan. Also ISA.
JEREMY: Oh, great. You guys are from that outfit that Jett was in that caused me so much trouble a couple of years back. Still I will say, at least the ISA must have some taste. You are one hot babe. Not talking to you, English.
BO: Can we cut to he chase here? Why did you kill my brother? From what I remember, you may have been a crook, but you could always gain something from your scams. What could you possibly hope to gain from killing Roman?
JEREMY: Well, that's a great question. I suggest you ask that to the person who actually killed Roman. I don't know anything.
BO: That's been clear to me since I first met you.
JEREMY: I mean I don't know anything about who killed your brother. Look, if I had killed anyone, do you think I'd be stupid enough to leave the weapon behind, with my fingerprints on it? Personally, I think that someone's trying to set me up.

Oooh... wonder if Jeremy has an alibi! Glad to hear that he didn't shoot Roman. You gotta know that Andre' is involved up to his neck!!

Chapter 6

BRADY PUB
Bo, Hope, Kayla, Patch, Shane, Max, Chelsea, and Frankie were sitting around a table at the Pub. Hope was reading off a piece of paper.
HOPE: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot. A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build. A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing. A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
BO: Sounds good.
There was a collective sigh from all who were sitting at the table.
FRANKIE: I can't believe this, man. First Kim and now Roman.
KAYLA: It doesn't seem real, does it?
SHANE: It certainly doesn't. But, you have to admit, none of us are all that young anymore.
MAX: Speak for yourself.
PATCH: Well, Maxwell, it's the truth. None of us are as young as we once were.
CHELSEA: You know what I can't believe? That Jeremy Horton is the guy that did it.
BO: Back up, Chels, we don't know that he did it for sure. He's just the lead suspect.
CHELSEA: His fingerprints were found on the weapon used to kill Uncle Roman. What more do we need?
SHANE: His statement, for one thing. He hasn't given us an alibi, yet. But, that's being worked on.

INTERROGATION ROOM
JEANNIE: Come on, Horton. Spill the beans.
JEREMY: Sorry Agent, but I don't believe that I have any beans to spill.
JEANNIE: Alright, then. Tell me where you were on the night Roman Brady was killed.
JEREMY: I was in Chicago.
JEANNIE: Doing what?
JEREMY: I can show you better than I can tell you.
JEANNIE: You know, if nothing else, I could charge you with harassment.
JEREMY: In what way have I harassed you?
JEANNIE: How about flirting with me and implying that you want to do me at every chance you get?
JEREMY: Hey, you can't blame a guy for trying.

BRADY PUB
Mike Horton walked into the Pub.
BO: Mike.
MIKE: Bo.
The two men shook hands.
MIKE: Sorry to hear about Roman.
BO: Thanks, man. How's Robin?
MIKE: She's good. But, I assuming you didn't have me come all the way back to the states just to catch up.
BO: No. I've got some bad news. You're not gonna like it.
MIKE: Well, what's up?
BO: Jeremy's been arrested. Again.
Mike rolled his eyes.

Glad that Mike and Robin are still together.

BTW... what happened to Kim?? I don't remember reading anything about that!!
