Steph stares at Alex's profile on her phone. Philip pops up and says her name. She's shocked to see him.
We return to an awkward hug. Philip notes she's changed her hair (and her face, as has he). He asks if she is ok. She tells him she's doing PR for his mom's soap. He makes some reference to a classic show that jumped to streaming. They have a journalist spoiling stories plus a poison cupcake issue. Philip has missed Salem. She tells him his cousin Alex ate a cupcake and she was checking on him. Philip recalls she and Alex were a thing. Steph confirms they were but that's over now.
Steph has told Philip the short saga of her and Alex. Talk turns to Philip blocking Xander from giving Titan to Kristen. Philip is surprised she knows. Steph used to rep Titan. Philip has a new client for her: Him.
Why does Philip need a PR firm wonders Steph. He tells her about his claim for Titan and the letter in his possession. Steph points out that the will left Xander the company and half the estate. Philip says he has a fight on his hands. Both in court and the court of public opinion. He could use a good PR person. Will Stephanie take him on? Steph immediately retorts absolutely not.
Philip was expecting good natured negotiations. Philip wonders if she is swamped at work or just realizes it's pointless trying to fix his image. Steph says he's Victor's son as much as Xander is and would probably do a better job at Titan. So Philip wants to know why she won't help him. Steph asks if he's had a memory wipe. They were not just involved once. They were engaged.
Steph notes that Philip can not even say the words. Philip says it's ancient history. If they work together it will be strictly business. Will she help him? Steph reluctantly agrees Philip woohoos.

I can't handle all those strange faces Philip makes.

I hate it too horizon and also the exaggerated gestures. I'm happy though that Stephanie and Philip interacted considering their history (albeit with other actors who had chemistry playing them). I guess the show wants them in each other's orbit, likely as a triangle to prop Alex and Stephanie. I wish they would have come up with something more plausible than Philip hiring Stephanie to be his personal press agent. Seriously stupid!

It makes sense for Philip to go to Stephanie for help. I do agree that the other actors had a lot of chemistry in history together. However, I wouldn’t be sad to see Stephanie and Philip go for another round if it makes a better person out of Philip.
