Alex shirtless in bed picks up phone. It's Stephanie checking on how he's doing post cupcake. She wants to come check on him but he says actually someone is here right now. He looks up at Joy.

Alex said Joy stayed to see he was ok after they ran lines. Steph says that was good of her. They hang up. Joy is checking out Alex as he drinks water.

Alex tells Joy she doesn't have to stay. She has nowhere else to be. All her friends are in New York. Alex says she must have friends here from the show. What about Johnny and Chanel?

Joy doesn't want to be a third wheel. Alex tells her Chanel is good people. Joy says that makes it worse. She doesn't deserve a friend like Chanel. She hooked up with her husband.

Alex repeats You and Johnny?? He wants the details. Is sleeping with Johnny how she got the job? Joy tells him about meeting Johnny at the bar and him being in a bad way. He thought Chanel had cheated on him. They talked. They drank. They ended up back in his hotel room. She looks ashamed and embarrassed.

Joy has finished telling Alex what went down. Again we get no details. Joy says it's so bad. Alex agrees. She begs him not to say anything.

Chanel is Alex's friend. Joy says she would be fired immediately. He has to promise to keep her secret. Alex doesn't answer but they are interrupted by a knock on the door. Naturally its Chanel. Awkward glances all round.

Alex has a female guest over, who he barely knows, and he can't put on a damn shirt?

Nice going Joy. HALF the town knows now. Still why would Alex be so ready to blab out something so sensitive. Despite Joy's begging it looked like Alex was chomping at the bit to tell the news.

I fear Joy will lose her acting gig. But worse than that Chanel isn't the easy-going type so this is sure to get rather ugly for Joy. And of course, even worse so for Johny.

Joy sure was gawking at Alex. Joy and Johnny slept together right? Why else all the consternation? But a missing piece remains.

Joy's an idiot. She would do better confiding in her mother.

I wonder if it’s in the actors contract that he gets extra pay for all the shirtless scenes

It doesn’t seem like they know what to do with Alex’s character. I feel like they’re chem testing him with literally everyone.
