Replay from Thursday with Xander telling Brady he would give up everything for Sarah. The serum is their last chance. If it doesn’t work… he starts to get emotional and Brady lays a hand on his shoulder, so like John used to do. He tells him it will be alright and to hang in there. He gets a text from Kristen asking him to meet. Xander tells him to go, he needs to get back to Sarah. Brady asks him to give her his best and Xander departs in the direction of Sarah's room.
Maggie brings over the hospital tray and dumps the food and water bottle on Sarah’s lap. Sarah reacts. She felt it. She felt the water bottle hit her leg! The serum is working she tells Maggie.
Sarah is emotional. She tells her mom that this means she will be able to take Victoria to the park, push her in her stroller, go back to work. She is cry laughing when Xander comes in and wants to know what he missed. Sarah tells him she's can feel her legs. Xander can't believe what she just said. Sarah assures him its true, she's going to be able to walk again. The three of them are all beaming.
Xander rushes to her side. This is incredible. It's everything they hoped for. Maggie takes off to find Kayla. Xander says to Sarah, this is really happening. He asks tentatively if he can test how much she is feeling. Sarah tells him to knock himself out. He squeezes her toes and she yelps. Xander marvels that she really felt that. He moves up her leg and she confirms again. He kisses her knee and lays his head on it. She definitely felt that. Her heart is bursting with love for him, their daughter, and everyone who has been there for her. She calls him baby and touches his face. She's equally happy for him. She knows how much this means to him. Xander tells her it means so much because Sarah is everything to him. He knows she would have accepted everything with courage and grace, but this is a miracle. She is his miracle. He just loves her so much. Sarah loves him too. He holds her tight as they laugh together.
There is an extra standing in for Kayla. He is astounded at Sarah's recovery. He must be new in town. He tells Sarah she is regaining feeling. She knows that but how soon can she be up and walking. Xander tells her to slow down. Sarah orders him to do a CT scan of her spine and a full blood work up. Extra leaves to do that. Xander returns to her saying it won't be long now. Sarah agrees. In fact she's going to try to walk right now.
Maggie is back. Sarah tells her that the doctor confirmed she is regaining the use of her legs. Xander reminds her he is doing tests to be on the safe side. He has been telling her daughter she needs to be a more patient patient. And Sarah has been telling her husband that she is done being patient. For the first time in forever things feel hopeful and positive. She does not want to wait. She wants to walk. Now. She asks Xander to let her try.
Maggie agrees with Xander that Sarah needs to wait for doctor's approval. Sarah pouts that its two against one. She wants someone in here who leaps before they look. Knows how to live dangerous... Maggie says she has done that from time to time but Sarah is not risking her recovery. Xander is looking at her with such love, but he's with Maggie on this one.
Maggie gets a text from Bonnie. She goes to call her back. Xander sits back with Sarah. He tells her no walking until they get the test results back. Sarah complains. Xander says she should try to nap before they take her away. Sarah asks how she can sleep right now. Xander pleads for her to try for him. She says she will. He makes her promise no more getting up. He leaves her to sleep, but as soon as he's gone she whips off the blankets and smiles.
Xander walks up to Maggie who is updating unseen Bonnie. She burst Maggie's eardrums with her excitement. Xander just prays this means Sarah will be walking soon. We cut to Sarah, standing with a cane. Looks like your prayers are answered she smiles.
Xander turns and he and Maggie react. He wants to help her but she tells him to let her do it. She walks to him on her own and throws herself into his arms. Maggie is sobbing. Xander is ecstatic. Sarah is beaming. End of show.

Cuddly family deliberations and all ends that ends well as Sarah is making great and rapid progress.
I KNEW she wasn't going to go to sleep once Xander left.
Now the lingering question is will there be "side effects." Place your bets. I know where I am putting my money.

I don't know, I expected this moment to be more emotional but I didn't feel it. I think it could have been done better. This should have been a goosebumps moment.

I don't know, I expected this moment to be more emotional but I didn't feel it. I think it could have been done better. This should have been a goosebumps moment. Because as usual it's was rushed. The scenes where he touched her leg got to me though. Their connection is so special.

I’m glad that they are wrapping up the storyline and hope that there aren’t any side effects.

What a beautiful and joyful moment! The love and respect between these actors playing a family is undeniably real and comes thru the screen and captures our hearts. I wished they were not rushed. The emotional roller-coaster from the beginning and middle was perfection but for some reason they rushed the ending for me too. I loved the joyful and playful moments and even the emotional ones but I needed to see Sarah "learn" to walk once feeling came back into her legs. They didn't have to spend days but could have made it a little more realistic. Unless for some reason Linsey felt she couldn't handle having to relive it anymore. Maybe they will have her have some physical therapy between now and Thanksgiving? May God help us get thru this coming week with Doug's passing.

I think you hit the nail on the head ana24. Sarah was walking by herself too soon. It would have been better to see her struggle. On the other hand, she received a miracle serum which is different than getting well some other way. So, suspending disbelief, she shouldn't have even needed a cane. She should have walked like normal. I wish Xander had been with her when she took her very first steps.
