Ava is doing books by hand. Brady sidles up. He was hoping she was working late. He wants to shoot the breeze. If it is a bad time he will go. Ava tells him to sit. The last time they chatted it was about Tate and Sophia. Does he want to pick up where they left off. Brady doesn’t want to violate Tate’s privacy. Ava is concerned about Sophia. She trusts Brady not to divulge what she is about to tell him. Then she changes her mind. She decides to not betray Sophia’s trust. Brady says he is already privy to the confidence Ava is reluctant to spill. They realize they both know about Tate and Sophia taking things to the ‘next level’.

Ava complements him on the classy euphemism. They decide to conclude the conversation. Ava says she hopes things work out as Sophia is really smitten with him. She hopes Tate is equally smitten. Ava says as Sophia’s surrogate mother, she hopes that Tate is over Holly Jonas. Brady wants club soda.


Brady has some good news. He tells her about how Kristen was going to do something huge for Sarah. Ava remembers being surprised that Kristen would do anything positive for anybody. Brady says that he is even more positive since Kristen is actually going through with it. He tells her about the serum. He prays that Sarah will walk really soon. Ava thinks that is amazing. She can’t see Kristen doing something like this without strings attached. Brady notes that there are strings attached. She had asked for Titan in return. Ava is aghast. Brady explains that yes, Kristen demanded Xander hand over his father’s company. Ava wonders if Xander made that deal. Brady says he didn’t have to, because Kristen changed her mind. Because he asked her to.


Ava clarifies that Kristen did it because Brady asked her to. She wants to know what the catch is. Brady said that he told her that if she demanded Titan she could kiss every chance of them getting back together goodbye. Ava laughs at him for giving Kristen hope. Brady notes it was effective. Ava wonders if it was totally manipulation or is there a chance for him and Kristen.


Brady thinks it is insane to think he and Kristen could have a future. He only didn’t rule it out completely because of Rachel. His head tells him to run in the other direction. Ava wonders what his heart tells him. His heart is with Rachel. He wants her to be happy. Ava thinks that means he might get back together with Rachel’s mom. Brady says Kristen knows that is highly unlikely. Ava thinks he is being naive. He thinks he made no promises, but isn’t it possible Kristen only heard what she wanted to hear?


Sophia comes up to Ava in tears. She doesn’t want to go home. She feels like such a fool. Ava takes her hands and wants to know what happened. Sophia says she and Tate are finished. She tells Ava that Tate called her Holly in the middle of sex. Ava looks appalled for her.


Sophia has finished telling Ava what went down with Tate. Ava says good for her, she got out of there with her dignity. Sophia feels used and humiliated. Ava tells her to listen. Tate did this. It is on him. He made her think he was over Holly and he wasn’t. This is not on Sophia, this is on him. Sophia says she told him to go to Holly so he probably ran to her as soon as she left. Ava grabs her in a huge hug and tells her how sorry she is.

It bugs me that Ava is using a table that customers could be at so she can do bookkeeping. I know it's nitpicky but it bugs me.

Sophia or "Little Ava." Seems to me Ava is drawn to the emotional troublemaker because I imagine Ava reminds her of her younger self.
