Kayla is on the phone with Unseen Steve being updated on Chad being the one who got Cat released from jail. Unseen Steve is promising to get to the bottom of it. Kayla tells him she is finally done for the day and heading home. Xander rudely interrupts and thrusts the two serums in her face and tells her she is not allowed to leave until she helps Sarah walk again. Kayla narrows her eyes.
Next scene, Sarah has magically appeared and is staring at the serum vials now in Kayla’s grasp. She clarifies that combining the two will result in a serum that will cure Sarah’s paralysis. Sarah confirms that is what they have been told. But she has no idea of the dosage or how they should be administered. Xander tells Kayla that is why they are here; Sarah trusts her to figure it out and get Sarah out of the wheelchair and hopefully walking again. He looks full of hope. Kayla looks dubious.
Sarah is explaining that the serum that looks like pee is the actual serum and the other one is useless without it. Xander chimes in that at least that is what Kristen told them. Kayla says so they are supposed to trust Kristen and Rolf and go in flying blind. Sarah has some instructions from Rolf. She is hoping with the notes, that she and Kayla can figure out what to do next. Sarah and Xander both do puppy dog pleading eyes at Kayla.
Kayla is studying the notes. She says that that Rolf intended it to be a 10% solution but there is nothing about diluting it with saline. Sarah wonders if it can be administered intravenously. Kayla says possibly but she is unclear on the titration rate. Xander points out that he is the one person in the room without a medical license and needs a translation. Sarah explains that they think the cure might be able to be administered via an IV but it might take several hours. Xander wants to know why that is a problem. Sarah says because it has to be injected directly into her spine. Kayla continues, which carries significant risks. She is not sure she is comfortable doing this.
Xander wants to know what that is risky. Sarah tells him because there is still swelling around her spine. Kayla adds that the serum is an unknown quantity. Injecting it into the site might make the swelling worse, making Sarah’s condition irreversible. Xander looks at Sarah and touches her back. She looks dejected. Xander remembers that directly after Sarah’s accident that Kayla told them that she might recover without treatment, but that no longer looks like that is going to happen. Could the serum really make her any worse? Kayla doesn’t know. She notes that putting aside for a second that Rolf is criminally insane, he is a brilliant scientist. Sarah continues, but this is an untested treatment. Kayla notes that Sarah is a doctor who is aware that there is significant risk, both known and unknown. Sarah knows.
Xander gets down to Sarah’s level and take her hands, looking right into her eyes he tells her that he is going to love her and make sure they live their best lives together regardless of what Sarah chooses. He wants to know she knows that. She knows. But she also knows that their little girl will be taking her first steps any day now, and she is willing to take this chance if it means she can be standing next to her holding her hand when she does. Xander nods. He looks at Kayla and says we know the risks. Sarah continues, and the possible miraculous rewards. She finishes: Kayla, would you please give me the serum.
Xander is alone when Maggie rushes in. Sarah texted her. Xander tells her that Kayla has agreed to give Sarah the serum. Sarah knows the risks but she has decided to take the chance. Maggie wants to know when Sarah is getting the drug. Xander tells her she is prepping it right now. He tells Maggie this is it; Sarah may have come into the hospital in a wheelchair, but with any luck she is going to be walking out of it.
Sarah is in a hospital bed and Xander is gripping her hand while Maggie frets in a corner. Kayla reports that she combined the serum with the other agent and tested a small portion of it in the lab. Sarah wants to know if the composition is the same as the formula in Rolf’s notes. Kayla confirms that it is exactly the same. Which means their calculations were correct. So far, so good. She pulls out a massive needle and says in theory it should work. Sarah is smiling. She says let’s see if it works in practice. Maggie is looking at the huge needle. Xander notes that it is a really big needle. Sarah laughs at him and says “Not going to pass out on us are you, Big Guy?”. Xander says not a chance. Kayla says that they don’t have to do this tonight. She can put the dose in chiro freeze for the night. Xander assures Sarah that whatever she decides to do he is here for her. Sarah looks at Maggie, then at Xander, then tells Kayla: Let’s do this. Now. Xander looks adoringly at her. Sarah looks ahead, smiling. End of Show, End of Week.

I'm nervous for Sarah. Xander is right. That was a big needle. I would hope they would do the procedure in a more sterile environment than right there in the room around people with no protective gear on.

I mean, Xander is right though, she can't get any worse and she isn't getting better. My fear is the usual Rolf side affect of memory loss. I can't do that again.

She could get worse. She could lose the use of her other limbs.

Seriously, no more memory loss for Sarah/Xander.
I'm nervous for Sarah, too. I hope it works out or only has a very mild side effect like turning her purple for a while

I’m just glad they did it now and didn’t put it in the freezer allowing Kristin to break in and screw with it because Brady rejected her

Whole ordeal seems shaky as hell. Kayla looks very skeptical. Big needle might have been a symbolic clue of how this will all go haywire.
Sarah "The Wolf Woman" here we come. At least she will be able to walk or run while chasing down her prey.

I am going to stay excited for Sarah and bury my head in the sand and not think about what can go wrong. LOL
Maggie's facial expression when she sees the needle is PRICELESS! And then Sarah's remark to Xander! I laughed out loud!
