Rafe and Jada talk about Mayor Price’s decision to make her Commissioner. Rafe tells her that he is okay to go back to detective. He hands his badge to her. Jada leaves when the department calls.
Roman tells Rafe that he was wrongfully demoted. He advises Rafe to sue the city. Rafe has no problem with taking orders from a woman. However, he feels disrespected by the city.

I was amused that Roman was eavesdropping. But I am glad Roman talked to Rafe and I agree Paulina threw him under the bus for no stinking reason. Paulina might be the worst mayor Salem has eve had.

As much as a lawsuit is NOT a storyline I want to watch, Roman was right. Rafe was out on disability after being injured on the job. It's been a while since I was a manager, but legally, I believe they have to hold his specific job for him a minimum of six months.

Yup...employment law would prohibit this and Rafe has a case.
I would love for him to sue the City, and would love to see this impact Jada/Rafe's relationship. Jada should have pointed out how illegal this is, rather than steal his job. Somehow, though it will be his fault for getting shot.

I'm all for Rafe suing the city over this and I'm glad that Roman said something to him about it.
And if it throws a kink in their relationship and she leaves to go join her sister, then.....BYE!!
I'm with you Trey - they will turn around and say he wasn't really on duty at the time or some other BS. They will probably say he fell on a shovel, fell in the grave, and shot himself in the process.
