Alex tells Chanel that he met Joy. Chanel likes her. Alex is worried that he freaked her out because of his comment about her being a thorn in his side in the show and she might have thought she meant in real life. They speculate on why Joy would have thought that. Alex says maybe Joy was worried Chanel might mix fantasy and reality and think she was going after her man. Chanel says that won’t happen, and Joy can go after her man as much as she wants on the show. Johnny is looking over a script in a patient room when Joy walks in. She asks how directing the first love scene went. Johnny says it was fine. Joy notices that Johnny’s upset. He says it’s because of what they did in real life. He needs to tell Chanel the truth. Joy says that would be the dumbest thing he could do. Joy says Chanel has given him another chance, why would he risk that? Johnny feels incredibly guilty and can’t stop thinking about what happened. Joy says he’d be putting a giant target on her back if he told the truth. Johnny asks if Joy’s in a relationship. Joy says she’s in a relationship with her cast and crew, with the show. Who knows how far Chanel would go to make them both pay? Alex notes that Chanel and Johnny are back on track. He’s glad they’re working on things, and apologizes if he had anything to do with their fight. Chanel talks about how ridiculous it was for Johnny to think she would cheat on him. Alex understands male jealousy, as it’s what caused problems in his relationship with Stephanie.
Johnny asks why Chanel would blame Joy for what happened. Joy points out that she pretended not to know him when they started working together. She’s worried that Chanel will hate her. If this gets out, she’s gone. Johnny assures her that Chanel won’t get her fired, but Joy isn’t convinced. She heard Stephanie was almost fired for sleeping with a co-worker, Joy thinks she won’t be as lucky if they’re found out. Chanel says Alex and Stephanie had something recently, until Kate laid down the law. Alex tries to blow it off as nothing, but Chanel remembers him saying he wanted to be more than friends-with-benefits. She asks if he ever talked to Stephanie about that. Alex hasn’t, because Stephanie has made it clear she just wants to be friends, but was jealous when she thought he slept with another cast member. Chanel thinks Stephanie has real feelings for Alex, and that he feels the same.
Alex thinks Stephanie is great, but a lot has happened since they first got together, and he doesn’t want to hurt her again. Chanel jokes that they should call Leo and tell him to write that “sonnet” Alex just gave into the show. Stephanie walks in and asks what they’re talking about. Chanel says Alex was complimenting her on her acting ability. Chanel goes to run lines with a scene partner for next week. Alex asks what brings Stephanie to set. Stephanie needs a huge favor. Joy says that her mom already thinks she makes a mess of everything and doesn’t want to prove her right. She begs Johnny not to say anything. What if this ruins things for Chanel, too? Chanel walks in and asks what’s going on.
Gabi asks if everything’s okay. Joy says they were just having a disagreement about a scene, but she’s pled her case, it’s up to him. Johnny sees her point and will defer to her for now. Joy thanks him. Chanel asks if Joy wants to run lines, which Joy says would be great. Chanel hugs Johnny and says she’ll see him at home. Johnny and Joy share a look. Alex asks what the favor is. Stephanie has an idea for a photoshoot, but it has to happen now because the magazine had a last-minute cancellation, and asks Alex if he’ll come to the office for the photoshoot. Alex says he’ll get Chanel, but Stephanie tells him it’s boys only. Alex asks why. Stephanie explains it’s for Playgirl.
Chanel asks if Joy was able to rent a room. Joy says she did, and thanks Chanel for letting her and Nancy crash her and Johnny’s evening. Chanel promised Nancy that she and Johnny would look out for Joy, and invites her to dinner.
Joy is worried that Johnny might be annoyed with her because of earlier. Chanel tells her not to worry, Johnny will get over it, and has to do whatever she wants. She won’t take no for an answer on Joy coming to dinner. Joy agrees.

I know all the HINTS are a bit over the top, but I am finding this storyline amusing. Alex what a big mouth loose lips.
I still detect a rebel spirit in Joy but she played it straight today and the reason was obvious. This acting gig is a big thing for her and she rightly told Johnny what was at stake.
Joy could pass as a young Valerie Bertinelli clone.
Days is pulling the string nice and tight here. We damn well know Chanel will turn into a tornado if she finds out about Joy and Johnny.
And I suspect Joy won't take the beating lying down either. Like I said I like this storyline, and it has given Johnny a chance to stretch his acting skills with flints of comedy.
Funny how I notice something that hadn't hit me before, but Joy looked tiny today.

I find it weird how often they use the hospital as their set. Despite Kayla and Burns's approval, it feels like they are taking advantage of the privilege.

That's a good call horizon. They do look alike. I know you have compared Joy and Ciara. I like Joy. I didn't like Ciara. My two cents: I think Joy is a lot nicer than Ciara. Unlike Regan Holloway (sounds like Megan Hathaway), she doesn't want Chanel to find out about the cheating. Also, Joy is naturally beautiful. Ciara worked too hard at it.

I agree that Joy is beautiful, but she comes across to me as nicer and more natural than Ciara.
I felt for her when she begged Johnny not to tell Chanel the truth because this will blow back on her. When she slept with Johnny she thought his marriage was over, and had no idea she'd be working with him and Chanel. This job is her big break and she doesn't want to lose it. Plus, I think she genuinely likes Chanel and doesn't want to see her get hurt.
And it's not Joy's fault that Johnny was an idiot.
