Julie calls up the stairs to Doug that a second helping of chicken soup is coming right up. The doorbell rings and it’s JJ. Julie is thrilled to see him. Julie is happy that JJ was there for Chad in Paris. JJ just wishes he had figured things out before Chad and Cat actually got married. Julie assures him that it wasn’t legal.
Julie is happy “that sadistic woman” and “her murderous brother” are behind bars. She’s sure that EJ and Chad will make certain they stay there for a very long time.
JJ needs to know what happened to his sister’s body, and he wants to see his family. He asks how Doug is doing. Julie says Doug has a bad cold, and he really believed that Abigail was alive. But she’s sure he’ll be up and around in no time. They talk about Doug being 98 years old, on the cusp of a century.
Julie hopes JJ brought his guitar so he can sing for Doug, and maybe he’ll join in.
JJ reminisces that it was Doug who gave him great-grandma Alice’s wedding ring so he could propose to Lani, knowing full well that he was jumping into something he wasn’t ready for, but Doug tried to warn him gently. Julie reminds JJ that he came to that conclusion all on his own.
JJ asks about Eli and Lani. Julie says they’re great, and she hopes they’ll come visit with the twins soon.
Julie asks if there’s someone in his life now. JJ says there isn’t. Julie is sure someone special will be along soon. Julie encourages him to stay at the house and not at the Salem Inn. JJ agrees and offers to pick up dinner for everyone. Julie hopes he’ll stick around this time. JJ says, he’ll see.

Chad comes home. Julie tells him that JJ is staying with them and that he was worried about them after what Cat did.
Cat walks in.

I thought you meant a kitty cat. LOLOL It was good to see JJ. I loved Julie asking if he brought his guitar. I doubt he was dragging his guitar all over France. But I bet his original 6-string is up in one of the closets or the expansive attic. It will be nice to see JJ in an actual storyline instead of a nondescript in-and-out stopover. I think Doug's onscreen death is going to occur soon with all the talk of him not feeling well and Julie looking longingly at old photos.
