Leo meets Joy - Tuesday (Read 73 times)

After texting Javi, Leo waits for his reply while writing for Body and Soul. He runs into Joy outside of the Pub and introduces himself. Joy knows the name. He's the guy who destroyed her parents' marriage. Leo apologizes. He's in therapy three to four times a week. He's learned that he has a good heart, and he didn't set out to be a home wrecker. He hopes this won't affect him and Joy being able to work together.

Joy: You know what? Who am I to judge? Lately, I've become a bit of a home wrecker myself.

Leo questions whether she's really a home wrecker or just trying to channel her character, the vixen, Reagan Holloway. Joy admits she's talking about real life. Whose home did she wreck?

Joy says she shouldn't have said anything, and he should just forget it.

Leo: Honey, I forget most things, but not scandalous gossip.

He tells her he used to be a gossip columnist.

Leo: I'm in TV now, where my extraordinary wit and shallowness are being financially rewarded.

Leo implores Joy to tell her story so he can glean inspiration and incorporate it into her character. Before she can respond, Javi shows up. Leo introduces them and Joy takes the opportunity to take off. Javi wonders why Leo didn't respond to his text and asks what's up with Joy.

Javi: I was getting a vibe. But I always get vibes. My best friend, Eliana, says that I'm an empath.
Leo: I feel like everyone's an empath nowadays.
Javi: Yeah, that's true. It seems to be going around.

Leo admits that he slept with Joy's father and ruined her parents' marriage. Javi seems impressed. Gabi was right about him. He really is a Chico Malo (bad boy).

Leo: I feel like I'm less of a bad boy and more of a home wrecker, which doesn't sound nearly as sexy, but then Joy just admitted that she was one too. Damn. I'd like to get the lowdown on whose home that one wrecked.

Leo relays a story about his mother dragging him to Madrid to meet up with some rich man who turned out to be poor. Javi shares that he's working for Gabi and that she's the strongest person in the world, but this divorce really broke her.

They agree to get together later for dinner or a drink.

Funny when Leo thought she was some sort of fan happy to meet him or something.

I like Joy's natural acting ability.

And naturally she nearly blew her cover. Ha.

Leo should not have been gossiping to Javi about something Joy just said she didn't want to talk about. However, she was an idiot to say what she said to the man who broke up her parents' marriage. Well, in truth, Craig broke up the marriage.

Can't shake the feeling that Joy sort of wants to expose the truth. Like Ciara, who she kind of reminds me of physically and otherwise, she has a bit of a smarty pants rebel brat spirit to her and part of her wants to cause some mayhem. Gives her a kind of street cred and makes her feel alive and ticking.

And it would help her break away from her mom who she feels is stifling her.

Leo is the WRONG person to confide in. Guy is a walking talking rumor meister. Blabbermouth supreme.

I am surprised Leo is being so low key with Javi. It is almost like he is becoming more sophisticated. Almost.
