Philip comes to the Kiriakis mansion and encounters Sarah. He came to see how Maggie is doing on her anniversary. She invites him to wait. He’s surprised, assuming he’s not her favorite person since he’s blocking the deal for the serum.
She says Xander would do anything to get his hands on it. Philip states, “I supposed that’s why he tried to murder me yesterday.” Sarah presumes it was an idle threat. Philip tells her he pointed his father’s gun at him and pulled the trigger but the gun was unloaded.
Sarah tells him she’s sorry. He says she’s done nothing wrong. He really likes her. He doesn’t want to make things more stressful between her and Xander. He’s just trying to protect his father’s wishes for him to have a hand in running Titan.
He can no longer wait for Maggie. He has to leave.

I really hate this smarmy version of Philip. And I hate that Sarah bought every word.

Sarah did not buy any of it, she knew he was trying to put a wedge between her and Xander, it was all over her face.

If Sarah didn't buy it, why did she confront Xander? Xander confirmed it.

If Sarah didn't buy it, why did she confront Xander? Xander confirmed it. Oh she believed that Xander did it, she just knew exactly what Philip was doing, trying to cause problems between them, and she was refusing to bite.
