Kate calls Philip from B&S office to tell him Vivian is out of the way and no one knows about the letter. Xander walks in.

Kate quickly gets off the phone and lies she was talking to her head writer and hopes Xander didn’t overhear anything about upcoming storylines. Xander says he’s there to find out why she hasn’t talked Philip into backing off blocking the deal for the serum. He wants Kate to call Philip now. Kate refuses. She’s supportive of everything her son does including fighting for his father’s company. Xander scoffs at her supporting Philip’s attempt to steal his rightful inheritance.

Kate reiterates the only reason Philip wasn’t in the will is because he was presumed dead. Xander shoots back “after he tried to kill Brady” to which Kate retorts that Victor didn’t hold that against Philip. Xander threatens to shut down B&S. He reminds him he doesn’t have the capital to buy out B&S, Titan does. She suggests he let Philip run Titan. She offers him the role of a big dumb vacant hunk she’s trying to fill. “Damn you, Kate,” he says before leaving.

Salem Inn
Kate informs Philip Xander came to see her. He hurled threats about getting the show cancel. He’s going to do everything he can to under Philip. Philip says “Let him. I’m doing the same. Like brother, like brother.” Next scene, Philip has told Kate that Xander pointed a gun at him. He purposely neglected to tell Sarah that he goaded Xander.
