John sends flowers to Marlena for their anniversary. He intends to be home tonight to celebrate.
Kristen arrives to see Brady. Marlena tells her that Brady will not be home for awhile. Kristen settles on the couch - she will wait.
Brady and Johnny set up for a family baseball game. They expect Tate to join them soon. Paul arrives. He breaks the news that he intends to propose to Andrew when he gets home.
Brady leaves to wish Maggie a Happy Anniversary. Tate does not go with him. He doesn’t want to run into Holly.
Andrew arrives to tell Marlena that John won’t be home tonight. He delivers a gift from John. It is a charm to add to her bracelet.
Kristen huffs off after being ignored.
Paul proposes to Andrew. Andrew accepts.
The family talks to John on the phone. Marlena tells John that they have built a wonderful family.

Loved Belle's dismissive attitude towards Kristen. And I loved Marlena swatting her. Kristen is an annoying gnat.

Felt hollow and forced without John. They should have just skipped this anniversary.

I thought they did a nice job given that they had probably written the scenes and then had to write about Drake's absence, and my favorite use of Kristen is when Marlena gets to be dismissive of her. But it WAS weird that Andrew flew all that way to tell Marlena about John's mission and bring her a gift... when John called 15 minutes later anyway.

From what I gather they held off taping these scenes for months waiting for Drake to return, as he was meant to come home at the end. When it became apparent that was not going to happen, they were taped without him.
