Vivian wakes up handcuffed to a bed with Rafe & Jada standing over her. Rafe wants to know how her head is. Vivian tells he that she wants Jada arrested for assault. He informs her that he is not back on active duty yet and Jada is the acting commissioner. She then demands to speak to the mayor as she wants Jada removed from the force. They tell her that won’t be happening. The only thing that will be happening is she will be transferred to jail. She wants to call her lawyer and Jada offers to get a phone for her. Rafe tells her that assaulting a police officer will be added to her charges and she will be away for a long time.

In the waiting area, Jada tells Rafe that Vivian is calling her lawyer. She asks Rafe why he is looking at her the way he is. He was terrified when he heard the gun go off. She thanks him for worrying about her but he says that she worried about her the entire time he was in the hospital. He tells her how much he loves her and she adds she loves him too.

He pulls out the ring and gets down on one knee. He tells her this isn’t the way he planned to do this. He had all these plans, romantic dinner & dancing. A near death experience changes the things. It makes you realize that time stops for no one. The ring belonged to his Tia Hilda and she left it to him to give “to the person he’d love for the rest of his life.” He then asks Jada to marry him.

The doctors & nurses have stopped what they are doing and are watching. He jokes he wasn’t expecting an audience but asks Jada for an answer. Of course, she says yes. Everyone applauds.
Ivan sneaks into Vivian’s room and wants to know if he should get a hacksaw to free her. She won’t let him take that risk and asks how things went at the mansion. He left the letter, watched EJ read it to Gabi and she was devastated. Vivian says that is a consolation prize.

I hope Ivan breaks Vivian out of jail again. I like to think of them on the lam together.

Rafe and Jada are still boring.

Rafe's proposal seemed fitting, and while this couple isn't the most exciting together, they do seem to be a match for each other.
