I believe that means it is secured thru late August of 2026. Hurrah.
Unlike so many who predicted the demise of the Soap when they moved to Peacock, I always suspected it would carry on. There were many voices predicting Days would shutter down. Not me. And it still feels different than the other Soaps currently airing.
That still leaves 4 Soaps on TV. Three on major stations.
Since guts in the entertainment industry and fear of failure shadows everything these days wouldn't it be cool if some station leader threw away the current scaredy cat rule book and plopped another brand-new Soap on the air.
How many years has it been since a daytime Soap debuted? I believe it was the summer of 1999 with "Passions." I remember the huge hype and I recall liking it at first.
Hard to believe. 25 Frikken years. Instead we are fed "lite" daytime news stuff, court TV shows and general malaise. What is wrong with everybody.

Well we are getting The Gates next year, a brand new soap, but with the news Ron is on the writing team I may give it a miss.

We have the new soap within a soap - Body & Soul. LOL
I remember Passions. That was the first time I saw Galen Ghering, Eric Martsolf, and Lindsey Hartley along with some others who have "temped" in DOOL.
