Before Leo's Dream
Marlena gives Johnny a belated birthday gift. She asks about the party. He says the surprise was not good. He thought Chanel was cheating on him and he... Marlena says he what? Johnny has a very brief flashback of Joy smiling at the bar. He says he hopes that Chanel can forgive him for what he did.

Meanwhile, Chanel arrives at Abe and Paulina's. She rants to Abe about Johnny and tells him that she does not blame Abe for casting her and Alex together. Johnny is the one who jumped to conclusions. She's super angry. Abe says she can stay there as long as she wants. However, she should talk to Johnny. She says she's told Johnny how she feels. In fact, she's said everything she will ever say to that man.

Seth approaches Stephanie, who is for some reason at the nurses' station writing a press release. She's busy. He wants to apologize for making people think she was a.... you know. She says a WHAT? He says he thinks he hears his name over the PA system and leaves.

Alex comes to the mansion. Bonnie says Justin is out. Alex asks if he knows about him and Stephanie. Bonnie says half of Salem knows. She's sure it will be on the front page of some Hollywood gossip rag.

Joy comes to see Kate. Kate says she saw her audition. Joy rambles that she can redo it if needed, in high school she did this monologue, she was in drama class, etc. Kate tells her that's not necessary. She has the job.

Leo is in his hotel room. He got an email from Kate informing him he needs to write for Joy ASAP. He is exhausted and falls asleep.

After Leo wakes up
He is scared by a knock on the door. It's Abe, who wants to know if he got Kate's message.

Johnny arrives on set. He attempts to apologize to Alex. Alex says the only one Johnny should apologize to is Chanel. Chanel shows up. Alex and the rest of the actors go to practice lines and give Johnny and Chanel privacy. 

Chanel notices that Johnny is wearing his wedding ring again. She guesses he only takes it off when he thinks she's cheating on him. Johnny acknowledges that she has a right to be mad but he wants to move past this. Is that.a possibility?

Kate interrupts to introduce them to Joy, who will be playing Chanel's rival for Alex in the show. Johnny smiles nervously.

Johnny's "nervous" smile was the highlight of the show. Kind of a night cap from all the zany stuff that proceeded it.

Honestly, I'm surprised that Kate has jumped on the Joy bandwagon as quick as she has. I was expecting a little more drama to be there given Kate's hatred for Chloe.

That's what I expected too mae00 but Kate's been really watered down since she's been working on Body & Soul. The actress has lost her spark too. She seems to be just going through the motions and I can't blame her. Her current "storyline" if you can call it that, is an embarrassment.

Maybe with Vivian and Philip back in town she will regain some spark. I sure hope so.
