Holly has returned from Paris and finds Eric at the Pub. They sit together and she feels him in on Cat and the fact that she has forgiven her mom for lying about her dad’s death. After she witnessed the fake Abigail thing, she understands better why some people must lie. She understands now that Eric & Nicole were only trying to look out for her. She admits that he is a great person and that she forgives him.

Holly knows that the accident that killed her dad, was just that… a terrible accident. The night she OD’d, she had offered Tate some pills that could have killed him. It is not her place to judge. They are lucky to have him in their lives & he has been a great dad to her. Eric is glad that got a chance to talk before he returned to Paris. She is surprised he is going back, but finds out that Brady’s been cleared. She realizes that she treated Brady the way she did was because of how she was feeling about her dad’s death. She doesn’t think Tate will ever forgive her but she knows that he is seeing Sophia. She needs to talk to him before it is too late.

Holly returns home and composes a text message to Tate.

Marlena goes to say goodbye to Eric. She will miss him but is glad everything worked out the way it did. Eric hopes they will live closer one day and she thinks they will. John sends his love but is processing some major news.

Nice that Holly forgave Eric. He has been a loyal guardian of hers and it makes sense.

Eric will probably come back at some point but they will have to come up with a better storyline for him if Nicole is still missing in action.

The Eric love is nauseating. I cannot imagine a teenager telling Eric he's a great guy now that she knows he drove drunk and killed her father. Forgiveness is one thing, but this was too much adulation.
