Tate is waiting on Sophia to get off work hoping they could have another date. She has some French food that she was going to bring home, but doesn’t think her little brothers would enjoy it, so they sit at a table to enjoy it together.
Tate tries to play it cool eating escargot. Sophia remembers the kids at school making gagging noises when she brought her grandma’s sea snail salad to school. Holly didn’t though, she punched one of them. She can’t believe they lost their friendship over a guy. She is feeling inspired that Holly went after what she wants so Sophia wants to know if Tate has changed his mind about moving on from Holly. He admits that he ‘cleared’ it with Aaron before he started pursuing her because he didn’t want to ruin their friendship like Sophia & Holly did. Sophia is not thrilled that Aaron ‘relinquished his claim’ and doesn’t think that Tate is ready to move on.
Tate apologizes and says he is not trying to move too fast with her. He knows that things will never work out with Holly & that is why he is sure he is ready to move on. He likes spending time with her & wants to do more of that. She is okay with that and he invites her over to watch a movie.

Sophia "placemat" reference was pretty good, but this still feels like some B-side from Archie comics as Betty and Veronica plot their moves.

Sophia went from being angry to being willing in two seconds. I liked the fact that Tate said "I don't know" when she asked if he'd take Holly back. At least he was honest.

Why was it ok for her to pass claim on Tate to the point her and Holly had a falling out but it wasn’t ok for Aaron to pass claim on her
Tate wasn’t anymore interested in her than she was in Aaron and quite frankly it’s not a claim for Aaron it was just Tate being sensitive to his friends feelings and making sure he wouldn’t resent him
All the girls in Salem high holly and Sofia are the only two we get to see apparently

doolfan4life, exactly! Tate was being sensitive to his friend's feelings. Looks like Tate is going to constantly be walking on eggshells if he embarks on a relationship with Sofia.

I love Sophia. She totally asked Tate all the right questions and then made it clear she is not interested in being second choice.
