So far, I like her. She has that rebel spirit of a young lady that wants to spread her wings.
She also reminds me a lot of Ciara. Has a bit of that "bad" girl thing going. She has an edge without being overly obnoxious.
Just hope she hooks up with the right person
But time will tell with her. Still too early to make an accurate assessment of her but so far so good.

For some reason, I usually don't like newly introduced female characters, but I like Joy. She's edgy but not mean.
Joy has tons of potential. It was a brilliant move to have Nancy bring her to Salem. It automatically gives Joy ties to Salem and connects her to characters we all know. Her relationship with Nancy feels very realistic and even similar to Chloe's contentious relationship with Nancy. Joy also has baggage due to her being conceived solely to be a bone marrow donor for her dying sister. I was happy to see that get mentioned and I hope it's explored further.
As for Joy and Johnny, I don't know. I love Johnny and Chanel together, but if Joy becomes the "other woman," it's not because she was trying to come between Johnny and his wife. Johnny had already done that. I hope their affair/relationship is not long-term, but I kind of like it that the show is keeping us in the dark as to whether Joy and Johnny really did sleep together.

I'm excited that we finally get to see Joy as an adult! i've wanted Joy back for quite a while! I'm slightly less excited that she's part of BS and has seemingly come between Johnny and Chanel. Still, I'm interested to see what else happens with her, and I'm glad she's around.

The jury is still out on her for me.
How old is she supposed to be now?
I don't particularly care that on her first night in Salem, she slept with a married man, but I guess that's the norm here.
I'm willing to give her a chance but I'm going to need a little more than a one night stand side piece or an angry teenager yelling at their mother that they were unwanted. We all know why she was conceived, but truth be told, if Nancy didn't want her, she would have dropped her in the orphanage like she did Chloe after she saved Chloe's life.
