Bonnie’s in the mansion living room trying to memorize her B&S script. She calls to Henderson to make her a dry martini. Nancy Wesley walks in, to Bonnie’s delight. The ladies hug. Nancy wants to hear all about Body and Soul. Nancy is impressed with Bonnie’s acting. Nancy read that B&S is still casting. She wants her daughter to audition and hopes Bonnie can put in a good word. Bonnie assumes she means Chloe. Bonnie sets her straight that she means her other daughter Joy. Nancy worries that Joy has a knack for getting into messy situations.
Nancy shows Bonnie a picture of Joy on her phone. Bonnie exclaims she’s gorgeous and Nancy says, and she knows it too. Lately Joy has been drifting. She doesn’t know what she wants to do. Nancy states Joy is a born performer and she thinks a part on Body and Soul would give her purpose.
Bonnie agrees to put in a good word for Joy and make sure she gets an audition.
