Stephanie and Jada have dinner. Jada confirms that the hit and run case is closed which means she can look forward to an evening with Rafe who’ll try and convince her he’s ready to go back to work.
 
Stephanie tells her friend that she slept with Alex again. The more they try to stay just friends, the more they can’t keep ther hands off each other. Jada presumes it will happen again. Jada asks if they talked about the situation. Stephanie says not really. Steph is disappointed that they didn’t honor their friendship.

Despite Stephanie’s denials, Jada thinks there are still feelings between them. Stephanie doesn’t want to risk losing their friendship even if she has feelings for him. She remembers the old Alex. He was a player and a bad boyfriend. She admits that just having sex feels wrong, so from now on, they are just friends.

Jada has spent more time focusing on Steph's love life than the myriad of criminal cases on the Salem docket.

She is also spending more time with Stephanie than with the love of her life who is recently back from the brink of death.

Rafe in a coma and Rafe not in a coma same air time

I’m not complaining about the rafe break
He’s so boring and one note it turns out he’s not a needed character (which I always kind of thought anyways, but case in point)
He can stay gone for all I care he’s boring

I am of two minds regarding Rafe.

Relationship Rafe, to borrow a phrase from George Costanza is a total bore. Even the mere thought of this fellow having sex makes me queasy.

But despite his deep inept phase for quite some time I actively enjoy him as the top cop. And he is tolerable as Gabi's older brother.
