Kayla is looking pensive when Marlena comes up and gives her the good news about Brady. Kayla is not that excited, she is checking her phone for texts from Steve about the Chad/Fabby situation. She tells Marlena that Fabby is not Abby.
Marlena can not believe the cruelty of ‘that woman’. Kayla says she had them all fooled. Marlena is confused about the DNA test. Kayla lets her know about Mark Greene changing the results. Why would he do that? Kayla doesn’t know, but she is certain Steve will figure it out.
Marlena asks if Kayla will let her know as soon as she hears from Steve. Kayla is sorry she was distracted about Brady, she knows it must be a huge relief for Marlena and John. Marlena says and even better now that Kristen won’t be involved. She had some plan to set him free, but now they won’t need her help. Kayla asks if Kristen is still trying to work her way into Brady’s life. Marlena sighs that yes, she is still in love with him.
Marlena is happy for Tate, he needs his dad right now. Kayla bets John is just thrilled. Marlena says John always believed that there was more to it. John wishes he could be here, but he is visiting Baton Rouge with Timothy (his dad). Kayla checks her phone, still no Steve. Marlena says even if Steve didn’t stop the wedding, Chad will have to say goodbye to Abby twice.
Marlena wonders about the woman posing as Abby. Kayla remembers how she was found, with John tied up in her apartment, and that John and Steve never got to the bottom of that. Hopefully Steve gets some answers.
Marlena talks about how John was found in Poplar Bluff, and never got the closure about Catharina that he needed. Kayla says that he carries around so much guilt. Marlena says her death will always haunt him.

Felt like filler to me and I was wincing hearing about John who won't be around to discover he "didn't" kill Catharina.
