Replay of Friday with Steve knocking out Mark. Chad wants to know what is going on. Steve tells him Fabby is not Abigail.
Chad wants to know what Steve means. Steve tells him that Fabby is an imposter and a con artist. Chad blathers about the DNA test. Steve advises him that Kayla ran the sample again and there is no match between Fabby and Jack. He is sorry to tell Chad that this woman is not his wife.
Fabby is checking on Mark, she is relieved he is still breathing. Steve tells Chad that ‘this joker’ falsified the results. Chad asks if that is true. Fabby looks guilty. Chad says, ‘you’re not Abby’. Fabby confirms she is not. Chad asks if this is some sort of sick game. He realizes that means Abigail is really dead. He wants to know who Mark is, her boyfriend? Fabby tells him it is her brother.
Chad says so when you said you were on the phone with JJ you were talking with him. Fabby confirms. Steve goes to call the police, Chad drags Fabby to the bedroom for a chat. He tells her to start talking. She asks what he wants to know. He says, for starters, why are you pretending to be my dead wife?
Fabby knows there is no excuse, but she needs him to know this was not her idea. Or Mark’s. She tells him it was Clyde. Chad asks if Clyde paid her, or if she is his girlfriend. Fabby is grossed out at the idea of Clyde touching her. Chad says that Clyde told him Abby was alive to stop him shooting him, and then was thrown into Super Max. Why would Clyde go through all the trouble to have her pose as Abby? Fabby says she doesn’t know, Clyde wanted Chad to be in torment. Chad asks if this is all about money, that’s why she pretended to be a dead woman? Fabby says that it is not about money, and she needs Chad to know she really does have feelings for him.
Outside in the living room, JJ comes home and sees Mark tied up. Steve says they had an incident. JJ recognizes Mark as the guy he saw with Holly. Steve says he was moonlighting as Chad’s assassin. JJ wants to know where Abby is; Steve says that Chad is questioning her about her part in all this. JJ asks if his sister had something to do with this guy trying to kill Chad. Steve is saying that that woman is not his sister. JJ says so his mom was right all along. Steve says they should have known to trust a mother’s instinct. JJ doesn’t know how he will tell his dad. Steve says they need to wait for more details before they call Jack. JJ wants to know why she would do this. Steve thinks it likely has something to do with Clyde Weston.
Chad laughs at Fabby’s assertions of feelings for him. She is not expecting anything from him, but she does care, and at no point was her intent malicious. Chad asks how is it not malicious making him think his dead wife was alive? Fabby says it got harder and harder the more time went on and the more she got to know him. She saw what a kind man he was, and reciting the vows to him made her realize she was falling for him. She knows he doesn’t want to hear that. Chad doesn’t. He wants to know how she knew about the vows. She tells him about getting them from the memory box at the Horton house. Chad says this is twisted. She must know that. She can’t be that screwed up that making him feel that kind of grief means she cares about him. She should have told him the truth before he fell for her, before he thought he had the love of his life back. And especially before her brother showed up to shoot him dead.
Fabby swears that she had no idea Mark was coming to Paris, and certainly not that he was there to kill him. She tried to stop him. Chad says how does he know that wasn’t part of the plan? Fabby says she was just supposed to marry him and transfer his assets to Clyde. Chad says so how was she planning to explain it once that happened. Fabby says she wasn’t, she would have disappeared. Chad says so that she or Mark or Clyde decided it would be easier for Chad to be dead so she could inherit. Fabby says she really didn’t know that part. Chad blames himself. He knew in his gut that something was off, but every time he had doubts he would remind himself about the DNA test. But he fell for her lies because he wanted so desperately for this to be true, for the love of his life to be back for him and his kids. For the first time since he found out Abby was dead he wasn’t in pain, it was all gone, and now, thanks to her, he has to mourn her all over again. Fabby is so sorry. Chad says when Abby’s parents find out the truth they will also be in hell, and his kids. Fabby sobs at that. Chad says thank god he didn’t tell the kids. Fabby says she was always protecting them because she didn’t want them to get hurt. She and Mark didn’t want to do any of this. Clyde forced them to. The only reason she pretended to be Abby was to save their mom. If they didn’t do what Clyde said he was going to kill her.
Mark comes to and wants to know why JJ is there. JJ tells him that Steve foiled his assassination attempt. Steve tells him that he tested him with the DNA tests, and he failed miserably. Mark is worried about his sister. Steve tells him that she is in with Chad, and that he is pretty sure that marriage is doomed.
Fabby sits heavily on the bed. Chad repeats that Clyde threatened to kill her mom. Fabby says that his men have been holding her hostage this whole time, and if they don’t get money to them soon, they will execute her. That is the only reason she had Mark agreed to do any of this. Chad says why should he believe anything she says. He doesn’t know who the hell she is. Fabby says she is Cat, short for Catharina, she was named after her mom.
Chad says so as far as she knows her mom is still alive. Cat says that one call from Clyde can change that. Chad says he doesn’t know the truth of what she is saying, and he doesn’t care. She and her brother committed a really cruel fraud to anybody who ever loved Abby, and for that he will make her pay. That is his promise. Cat looks distraught and emotional. End of Show.

Steve and JJ stuff was well done.
And finally Chad and "CAT" get to let it out. They have been acting in an annoying pinched mode for so long it was a relief to see them battle it out.
I thought Chad would be a little more sympathetic when he finally learned the truth.
I am glad we finally have her real name, but I was a bit shocked to learn that Kon's ex is her mother. Huh?
And this was her best scene since entering Salem. Her acting here was pretty good. Along with her cute hairstyle.

Talk about beating around the bush. She needed to lead with "Clyde will kill my mother if we don't cooperate." She is officially getting on my nerves.
Glad to see JJ and Steve interacting after all this time.

I'm glad the Cat is out of the bag. I agree, she buried the lead and took her good ole sweet time getting to the point. Glad it's out in the open and curious what the Scooby Gang will do now.

"Cat out of the bag." Good one. For some reason my mind went to that crucial scene at the airport in "North By Northwest" where the federal agent informed a clueless Cary Grant that Eve Marie Saint was a spy working for the "good guys." Not quite an analogy but I thought once "Cat" revealed her true predicament he would take it with a dash of sympathy. No such luck.
