After a replay of Holly's flashback, JJ says he didn't speak with Fake Abigail on the phone and Fake Abigail denies saying she did. Holly supposes she misunderstood. Fake Abigail says she's sure Holly didn't mean to interrupt, please go on with the toast, JJ. Chad wants to know why "Abigail" lied about this.
Holly is embarrassed and says she ruined the wedding and she should go. Chad tries to convince her to stay, but she won't. She goes and Chad confronts Fake Abigail about the lie. He's sure JJ would remember if they spoke on the phone. She asks to talk to him privately.
Chad asks JJ to go and he does.
Alone in the apartment, Chad demands answers. Fake Abigail tries to deflect at first but he isn't having it. Eventually she says okay, I'll tell you everything. Just then, there's a knock on the door.
It's Mark. He rambles about wanting to congratulate them. Chad says he doesn't know them, then has a flashback of Fake Abby with Mark in the park. He realizes they do know each other and demands to know what's going on.
Mark says he doesn't want to do this. He has no choice. Clyde is making him. He pulls out a gun and pushes his way in.
Fake Abigail jumps in front of Chad and says she won't let Mark shoot him.
Steve comes in and knocks Mark out. Chad asks what the hell is going on. Steve says this woman is not Abigail.

I loved the part where Steve bopped a deranged Mark on the head.
And Breaking News. Chad showed an ACTUAL pulse today.
Funny thing about this storyline. The main course was too stupid for my tastes but the tail part could be a lot more interesting.
Naturally Steve saving Chad from getting shot was the most important thing. But it is the side effect that could become sticky.
Steve unknowingly might have sent Mark and fake Abby's mom to her grave.
And AT LAST this woman will be fully exposed. I think. Ha.
And am curious how all these figures navigate a still sticky situation.
Chad will likely not be able to go full Monty on fake Abby because of her mother's predicament.
One other thing. Clyde is the big man. So, he had a rank amateur like Mark complete this all-important deal. Not s big man move.

The cavalry arrives! So glad to see Steve in the last few seconds. No doubt Fake Abby will get credit for putting herself between Chad and the gun.
It was excruciatingly painful watching Fake Abby NOT answer Chad's questions. The paint was drying as the minutes ticked by.

The cavalry arrives! So glad to see Steve in the last few seconds. No doubt Fake Abby will get credit for putting herself between Chad and the gun. She was frozen in fear. which to a degree was understandable given the stakes at play. I was a bit surprised Chad came on so strong because before he would take tepid steps in that direction. Usually, she finds a neat little excuse but apparently had trouble coming up with one. She could have said she received a call from someone who apparently was "impersonating" JJ and she didn't know it. And let them digest that tidbit lie. Not very believable but better than just standing there making wincing faces. A part of her must know the walls were closing in seeing the Kayla text etc. Must say though as stupid as this storyline was I am looking forward to the aftermath of everything. And finally getting to see the REAL woman behind the fake Abby mask. But I can't say I am anxious to see her falling for Chad the Dullard. I hope that isn't the case. |

She never said she was talking to JJ. Here's the stupidest part. Just because they're married does not mean she automatically gets access to Chad's money. Now, if he died, then yes, she'd likely be entitled unless all his money is willed to his children. So many holes. |

They were married at the time of her death. If they void the death certificate, they're... already married. |
