In the Marlena Visits Brady thread from Thursday, we were conversing about Brady's past girlfriends. Kristen. Theresa. Chloe. Arianna. Madison. Eve. Melanie. Etc.
He's had many women, but who do you think were his grand passions?
I'd say Chloe and Kristen.

I would say Theresa and Kristen. Although I did like the story arc where Nicole and Brady were in Canada. I think for that moment in time Nicole was one of his great loves. For the long term obviously not but I think they did have some good intense moments together.

Nicole would definitely be a grand love for him. She always had his heart. He loved her through some pretty ugly times even tho she never really returned those feelings.
Theresa and Kristen were loves but I don't think they were grand loves. They were desperate to have him and that boosted his ego and created an addiction for him. He wanted them when he knew he couldn't have them. Both will always hold a place in his heart because of the kids. I think Brady would be one of Kristen's grand loves, but I don't feel like he fully returns those feelings.
Arianna didn't really have a chance to develop into a grand love, but I think if she hadn't got hit by that bus, she could have been.

I don't know that Brady has had a one great love. He jumps from one woman to the next with such frequency, it's difficult to feel any of them have really been special. In my mind, Nicole is more of a friend than a great love. They could have gotten there if they were together for a while, but that didn't really happen. Kristen is his addiction. They make one another crazy, but the passion never goes away. I always thought Brady and Theresa had a lot of potential, but she's always been so desperate to hold onto him that they've never been on even footing with one another. And Chloe and Brady just never felt right to me.
Maybe it's because he lost his mother at such a young age, and he and Marlena never really connected, but I just don't feel as though he has experienced one great love, just a lot of relationships that fill a void.
