Marlena comes to see Brady in the interrogation room. She says she and John are so worried. Brady says he's worried about John, how it will affect him. Marlena says she and John will be there for him now and always.
Marlena asks why she saw EJ leaving. Brady says he came to gloat. EJ says he's gonna make sure Brady can't get out of this. Marlena says EJ is upset because Kristen made the car disappear and ruined the evidence the first time. Brady is upset with Kristen over that too. He says Kristen was just here threatening to do something extreme. Marlena isn't sure she wants to know. After a brief flashback, Brady says it's better if she doesn't. Marlena asks if it's something illegal. Brady says he told Kristen to stand down. Marlena hopes Kristen listens. When Kristen is determined, she stops at nothing to get her way.
Brady agrees but says he'd rather have Kristen fighting for him than against him. He tells Marlena that Kristen is talking about revisiting custody, but he thinks it's because she wants him to fight the charges. Marlena says that Kristen has an ulterior motive: she still loves Brady and wants him back.
Brady says Kristen told him that too.
Brady says that Kristen is like another addiction, only he can't quit cold turkey because they share a child so he's forced to deal with her. Marlena asks if Brady is in danger of going "off the wagon" when it comes to Kristen. Brady says no. He's still burned from Theresa. Besides, he's going to prison, so it's a moot point.
Marlena tells Brady to let Justin do his job before concluding that. Brady says the only reason he's pleading not guilty is because of John, but he needs to take responsibility for what he did to Sarah.
Marlena says Eric felt the same way after he killed Daniel. Brady says he's lucky that Sarah is still alive. However, he's not ready to make peace. He wishes John would just accept that Brady is going to prison. Marlena says he can't do that and neither can you. She reminds Brady he stood by Tate after Tate was arrested. Brady says it's different because Tate was innocent. Marlena asks if he would do anything different if Tate had been guilty. Brady admits he wouldn't. However, Tate standing by him is costing a lot. Tate is losing Holly over it. As much as Brady had his reservations about the two of them as a couple, he doesn't want to be the reason Tate and Holly break up.
Marlena has to go. She can't help worrying about Kristen. Brady says don't. Marlena says it's not that easy. Once Kristen decides she wants something, there's no telling what she will do to get it.

This is exactly why I don’t feel bad for Brady
The reason he can’t even remember he wasn’t driving is because Theresa married Alex and she was the love of his life
Now he’s giving the same crap speech about Kristin
What a gobs**te
I can’t even hope that the truth comes out cuz he absolutely should be able to go to prison for being such an idiot in a soap that has masks to impersonate people and can resurrect the dead multiple times
He makes my head hurt

Very true doolfan4life. Chloe was also the love of Brady's life. If he's not near the girl he loves, he loves the girl he's near. And Marlena was so psychoanalyzing Brady. She doesn't know how to just be a mom. John was truly needed in this scene. Marlena was not. Sad. |

The fact that Brady gave Kristen some "emotion" time in his head is a serious red flag.
