Eric finds Holly crying on the bench. She tells him to go away. He says he knows she's mad, but he's still there for her. Holly snaps that she and Tate broke up and it's Eric's fault.
Eric is confused. How is it his fault? Holly says because Eric killed her dad and Brady ran over Aunt Sarah and Tate is defending them both. Eric says that he doesn't know why Tate is defending him, but Brady is Tate's dad. Of course Tate loves Brady and doesn't want him to go to jail. He also thinks Tate and Holly need each other. Holly snaps that Eric can stop pretending to care any time. He and Nicole obviously don't.
Eric says that isn't true. Nicole is miserable that she can't be with Holly while Holly is going through this. Holly demands to know why Nicole isn't here, then. Eric says the baby has a cold and an ear infection and can't travel. But Holly could go to Paris and visit Nicole.
Holly says she can't pick up and go to Europe in the middle of school. And she has college applications due and Nicole isn't there to help her with them. Eric says Nicole can help via video chat. Holly says that isn't the same. Nicole doesn't care about her or she wouldn't have left Salem. Eric says they asked Holly to come with them. Holly says when she said no, Nicole should have decided to stay in Salem.
Eric says Nicole made some tough decisions for good reasons. But Holly could come visit any time. She doesn't have to stay long. Eric will even pay for the flight.
Holly says fine. It's not like there's anything left in Salem for her anyway since she doesn't have Tate.

Yawn blah blah blah whisper Eric.
Why can't he go home and babysit Jude so that Nicole can come to her daughter? I know the offscreen reasons but this just plays stupid

I know the offscreen reasons but this just plays stupid It does seem odd that Holly the teenybopper, is the one that has to travel to see Queen Nicole. But of course, "reality" dictates stories around here. Meanwhile the friction between Holly and Eric remains. Eric is in a tough spot. |

I don't feel like Eric really cares about Holly. He just cares that she doesn't worship him anymore.
Jude sure gets sick a lot. Weak excuse.
