Fiona has wheeled Sarah into the park. She wants to talk about what Sarah told the police. She knows Sarah was lying. Sarah is flustered. Why does Fiona think she is lying? Fiona knows that she can’t possibly remember seeing Brady behind the wheel that night. Sarah asks how she could know that. Fiona has a quick flash of the accident. Sarah presses, why doesn’t Fiona think she remembers Brady in the car that hit her?
Fiona tells Sarah that she overheard her telling Xander that she lied to the police, she just can’t figure out why. Does she want to see Brady punished. Sarah says no, she didn’t have a choice. Xander is so consumed with anger and the desire for revenge that he was going to kill Brady and make it look like a suicide. Fiona reacts to this, she is appalled. Lying to the police was the only way to save Brady, and Fiona’s son.
Fiona says so Xander was going to kill Brady and make it look like he’d taken his own life. Sarah says yes, and the only way to stop him was to lie to the police. She was in this very park when she saw Xander plotting with a random guy. He tried to deny but she got it out of him. Fiona is weepy, this is all her fault. She has hurt Sarah so badly, and her son, and Brady. Sarah tells her she is not to blame. Fiona says she is. She is to blame for all of it.
Sarah wants to know why Fiona thinks she is to blame. Fiona says because she was with Brady right before he drank and ran over her. She is a recovering alcoholic herself and she should have taken him to a meeting. She hopes Sarah can forgive her. Sarah says nothing to forgive, she couldn’t know, and as much as she hates lying to the police, Brady will face the consequences of his actions, he needs to pay for what he did.
Fiona says Sarah has not said that before. At first Sarah didn’t, she thought that Brady didn’t know what he was doing and she has sympathy, but now she has had time with it she thinks that if somebody drives drunk that they should be punished. Especially how Brady hit her and left her there not knowing if she was alive or dead. Fiona knows they have not known each other long, but she hopes she knows how much Sarah means to her. Without her she would never have come to Salem, never reconciled with her son, and never met Victoria. She loves her. She is like a daughter to her.
Sarah loves Fiona too. What they were talking about earlier though, that stays between them, nobody can know. Fiona understands, it will be there secret. In the shrubbery, Eric lurks.

Detective Eric. HIRE that man.
As for Fiona to me she is a Sloan redux. Translation? Worthless.

Fiona keeps digging herself deeper every time she talks about Brady driving drunk. Her tears are feeling sorry for herself, not for Sarah.
