Sarah tells Fiona that she knows she slept with Brady. Sarah is glad that Fiona stopped Xander from going after Brady with a baseball bat. Sarah admits that she told a lie to stop Xander from going after Brady again.
Xander arrives and tells Sarah that Brady is in jail. Sarah is glad that Jada arrived in time to save Brady. Xander asks if her memory was real? Sarah tells him no, she had to stop Xander from killing Brady. She knew that Xander would never stop going after Brady. Sarah is not happy about what she had to do to protect Xander and Brady. The only thing Xander wants is for Brady pay for what he did to Sarah. Fiona listens at the door.

Well, this has been a rough week to be a Xander and Sarah fan, but I will say the clown story was far worse for me. I loathed every minute of it, from the idiocy of the kidnapping to the gas-lighting of Sarah to the inclusion of vile Gwen, so this one is an upgrade for me. Obviously not thrilled that Xander went right from maiming to murder, but that is clearly exactly what Victor would have done, and they are, as Xander said, cut from the same cloth.
I actually love the Sarah part in this. I have always thought that for them to survive as a couple he had to become less dark and she had to become less light. By being able to lie for him, she has taken that step to saving him from his worse impulses, much like Maggie did for Victor. I'm not saying this is a good thing, clearly it is not, but it makes Sarah far more interesting as a character. I also really like how honest Xander is being with her throughout this. He is not hiding his true self, and she is not running from it. That is a massive shift in their dynamic.
The truth will obviously come out, Eric is already suspicious of what Xander was up to, and John will take that a step further once he learns of Brady's arrest. I think the far more interesting part of this story will be when Xander finds out that it was Fiona. What will he do then? She is literally everything he warned Sarah that she would be, but he has the fantasy version of her in front of him now. In Fiona's defence, I think she does feel awful guilt and she is trying to make up for it by being useful to them, but if she had just called for help on the night this mess would never have happened. Half of Xander's rage is about Sarah being left in the street to die, not the accident itself.
And when Sarah learns or remembers it is Fiona, how does she feel, knowing she insisted on bringing Fiona back into Xander's life despite his misgivings? For all the wealth and power her introduction brought to him, he was far happier poor and living in their tiny apartment. If Sarah had not pushed him to find his mother, they would have got married at the double wedding and the accident would never have happened, and Theresa would be enjoying spending Alex's millions.

I wish I could see the virtues of this stuff see above but it is leaving me out in the cold.
Xander is a half-step away from the Connie zone and now that Sarah is playing "Covergirl Wifey" I have lost respect for her as well. And she is a medical doctor for crying out loud and should be far removed from playing the willing gangster's wife.
These two have decided to marinate themselves in the dark zone, especially Xander, and when people are out for blood lust death revenge I run for the hills.
And just as important these two buffoons have a baby. I mean come on. If that alone doesn't set your ass straight nothing will.

I was thinking Sarah should have called John/Marlena in order to save Brady, but I get it. Xander would not have stopped his crusade until Brady got hurt or imprisoned. So in that respect she did the right thing. And I agree, Sarah and Xander have an uneasy partnership here.
I disagree though about Fiona feeling guilty. If she did, she'd just stay quiet instead of throwing Brady under the bus every chance she gets. That is the equivalent of leaving Sarah to die after running her over. She's twisting the knife in Brady's back.
