Maggie and Fiona are finishing dinner. Maggie can’t recall the last time she was out of the house. Fiona tells her that Sarah needs her, but it is a heavy burden, and she needs to let other people help her. Maggie says Xander has been catering to Sarah’s every need around the clock. Fiona tells Maggie that Xander is upset with her, and for good reason. This is why Fiona suggested dinner, she wanted to explain to Maggie why Alexander is not best pleased with her. Maggie will likely not approve and will be appalled. Maggie tells her to just tell her. Fiona tells her how she met Brady when she first got to Salem and they hit it off. And one thing led to another. Maggie asks what Fiona is trying to tell her. Fiona sighs; I slept with him Maggie. I slept with the man who crippled your daughter.
Maggie says of all the men in town, the one you chose to take to your bed was Brady. Fiiona says that she found the whole situation awkward. Maggie says definitely awkward, since she shares a son with her late husband, and that Brady is Victor’s grandson. Fiona says they didn’t know of their connection when they met. She doesn’t mention that they did when they hooked up. Maggie asks how exactly it happened. Was Brady drinking at the time? Fiona says he was, but she had no idea he wasn’t meant to be. All she knew was that he was charming and they were both lonely. Maggie asks if they are still sleeping together. Fiona says no, how could they be after what he did to Sarah. It is unconscionable. It is unforgivable. And she is talking about herself now.
Maggie is working out the timeline. So Fiona met Brady the night of Xander’s non wedding. Fiona says yes, and he was drinking, and she was in a bad place after Xander tore into her about keeping the Victor Son secret. She had no idea who Brady was, he was just a handsome stranger who was kind to her. Maggie wants to know why Fiona is telling her this. Fiona says because when she found out about the bad blood between Xander and Brady she thought it was best to keep it quiet, since she had only just managed to get back into Xander’s good graces after years of estrangement. And she didn’t want to take a chance that an affair with his nephew would ruin things. Maggie asks if Xander now knows. Fiona says yes. Maggie can’t imagine his reaction. Fiona says some good came out of it. Because when she told him, probably mostly because of shock, it stopped Xander from hurting Brady with a bat. Maggie looks vaguely annoyed. Oh, that Xander, so like Victor…
In spite of the shock about what Fiona told her, Maggie is relieved that Fiona stopped Xander from hurting Brady. Sarah needs Xander by her side, not in prison for assault. As deeply disappointed as Maggie is in Brady, she doesn’t want him hurt. Fiona: Despite what he did to your daughter? Maggie says she can’t bear to look at him right now, but he is family, and he has gone through a lot, and he is a kind and decent man when he is sober.
Maggie is glad they talked. They have both stepped up for their children. She has come to consider Fiona to be a friend, and would not want them to have secrets. She is going to go and pick up Sarah’s favourite dessert. Fiona will stay and have her favourite dessert here. She thanks Maggie for not thinking too badly about her. Maggie says they are all grateful to her. They have a hug. Maggie says she will see her at home. Fiona looks sad.
Sophia is now Fiona’s waitress. She asks if she needs anything else. Actually, she does.
Sophia brings Fiona a slice of cheesecake and a dry martini. A perfect pairing, she says. After Sophia goes, she sips from the martini and looks like she is getting a hit. Off the wagon she goes….

For some reason I liked the bit where Sophia served Fiona some cheesecake with her "dry" martini. Decadent pleasures indeed.

The cheesecake looked as good as the Tiramisu.
I like the Mums together. It's going to be sad when this all blows up

I would have thought Fiona was more of a salty martini type--an olive rather than a lemon twist.

Oh, forgot to mention how disgusted I was that Fiona keeps talking about how horrible Brady is for running over Sarah. She repeats this again and again and again. You'd think she'd say nothing rather than dig in deeper, especially because she should know there's always a chance the truth will come out, making her lie upon lie even worse.
I hope Xander is done with her once the truth comes out. This is the second life-changing lie she's told. She lied to him about his paternity for over 30 years. And now this.

I feel like everytime she talks about how awful Brady was, she is talking about herself. I also hope Xander walks away from her.
