Crystal got a nod for Lead Actress? Really? Apparently taking asprin and muttering to yourself is considered great acting. Who knew?

Thrilled for Matt and Chandler though. Matt did some great stuff and we all know Chandler has been out of this world. Good for them. I'd love for Matt to win and then give a giant finger to TPTB at Days.

Even with so few soaps left on air, Days still doesn't have too many nominees. I also think it's funny that most of the ones that are nominated are no longer on the show.

Rooting for Crystal Chappelle, Debbi Morgan and Laura Wright for lead actress...maybe more toward Crystal since Laura won last year

Mo and Tony Geary for Best Actor...either one...Luke had some great stuff last year

OMG for supporting...I would love for Becky to win...if not her then the awesome Ms. Nancy Lee Grahn

The supporting actor character is amazing...any of those guys deserves it. Though personally I am not sure how much Matthew Ashford had in comparison, but he is talented.

Younger Actress...way to go to my girl Molly...and Shelley was so good in the scene she submitted (I watch it often because it was so entertaining). I am not sure what the CBS girl were up to last year, they usually win though.

The younger Actor category is great as well...I want Chad Duell to win though. I love him..

I put so little faith in the Emmy process. It isn't based on talent in my opinion. It is more like a who do you know contest. I don't watch any other soaps, but from the years I have watched Days they have always lacked in the nominations.

Days has always made a weak showing...before 2007 all they got was hair and makeup. At least now they have a shot at some acting nods.

I watch three of the four soaps left...and I have watched almost all of the soaps at some point in my life. I can tell you with all honesty, Days didn't get a lot of nominations in the past for good reason. They just weren't hitting it as hard as some of the other shows.

OOO I didn't see Darnell Williams was nominated before...man...the lead actor category is tough. Darnell killed it last year.

I won't be surprised if the AMC and One Life folks pick up some wins. The ATWT folks picked up several after they were cancelled. It seems to work that way. Usually CBS wins most everything. What gets boring to me is that in some categories it's always the same few people who rotate the win. Once in awhile you throw in a Susan Lucci.

Nancy Grahn won when she was on Santa Barbara. Someone there knew how to play the game because they had lots of winners for the 9 or so years it was on the air.

ATWT actors always won quite a bit anyway. They just had better material.

I think it is the same few people because they are the strongest and keep getting nominated. Some people are just respected and consistently give good performances.

Yes, that's why I was still amazed..Days has never been a daytime Emmy fav.
