Outside the pub Gabi takes a call from Stephanie who wants Connie’s phone number to invite her to Everett’s memorial. Gabi gives her the number but reminds Stephanie that Everett is the one who put Rafe in a coma. Moments later, she runs into Ava who pleads Stefan’s case, saying he didn’t set out to cheat on her and to give him a second chance. She says he no longer wants a second chance and tells Ava to get lost.
Hospital Gabi finds Paulina in Rafe’s hospital room and promptly tells her to leave. She’s the one who is responsible for Gabi’s jail sentence. Paulina agrees to go but she isn’t the one who sent Gabi to prison. Gabi states, but you hired EJ. Paulina says Gabi has a bee in her bonnet that has nothing to do with her. Gabi apologizes for taking her anger out on Paulina. Her marriage is falling apart and EJ’s been surprisingly supportive. Gabi asks the mayor to stay with Rafe a while longer. She needs to get to work. She says some encouraging words in Spanish to Rafe and leaves.
At the office Connie asks how things are with her and Stefan. Gabi tells her she slept with EJ, Stefan’s biggest enemy. Connie high-fives her and is a little too exuberant. Gabi didn’t realize Connie was so invested in her marital woes. Connie says she wants Stefan to suffer. Gabi plans to take Stefan for all he’s worth and she wants to keep things going with EJ. Connie turns and fishes a steak knife out of her bag.

Gabi has a right to be mad at Ava and a right to be miffed at Paulina.
I hate that she's confiding in Connie.
She's an emotional wreck and really should be in therapy (not Marlena) after the trauma she experienced in prison.

I am starting to warm to this Gabi. Dressed in resplendent powder pink (I like the fact she puts on fashion stuff good or bad). And she wears bold sexy stuff too. No complaints from me.
Her snide condescending approach to most everyone is refreshing. I like the way she curls her lips in distaste. Reminds me of how I feel about people. The difference is I am not uppity and I do my best to hide my displeasure. I generally don't like people. Ha.
But what is killing me is the way she lets her guard down around the serpent. You could see her reticence when Connie slapped a high five on her but doesn't Gabi find it more than a little off Connie is so interested in Gabi's personal life and stories of revenge.
Plus, Connie is Gabi's subordinate, and she shouldn't be airing out her dirty laundry to this annoying flake.
I also dug the way she blew off Ava not giving Ava a whiff of satisfaction. Gabi is playing the SHREW and I quite LIKE it.
