At the police station, Brady keeps insisting to Justin that he knows he hit Sarah. Justin reminds him that he doesn’t know. He doesn’t remember. Brady is angry that Justin argued his case without consulting him. Justin says he’s Brady’s lawyer, and it’s his job to do what is best for his client, which is what he did.
Brady knows Xander and Sarah won’t be happy.

Brady sits on a bench outside of the Brady Pub. Ava finds him deep in thought and asks if he’s okay. Brady says he just needed a moment before heading home. Ava wants to know if she’s consorting with a wanted fugitive. She apologizes for the bad joke, but she thought he’d be in jail. Brady says he should be, but apparently, confessing to a crime isn’t enough to get him where he belongs.
Ava tells him he had a good lawyer. Brady says he wanted to pay for what he did. Ava points out that Justin made a valid point, or EJ would never have agreed to his release. Brady can’t be held legally responsible. But he is racked with guilt over what he did to Sarah.
Ava says she’s partly responsible for that. She was drinking with Brady. Brady points out she tried to stop him. But Ava says she gave up and joined him. Brady assures her that there was nothing she could have said or done to stop him. He was on a path to self-destruction. And neither of them knew he would go on a month-long bender, which would result in the biggest mistake of his life.
Ava wishes she had checked on Brady.
Ava still wishes she had done more. It bothered her when she left him that night. She came back down to check on him but was relieved when she thought he wasn’t going to drive. Brady asks what made her think that. Ava overheard him talking to a woman with an accent. He was going to walk back to the Salem Inn with her. Brady asks her not to tell anyone he saw her with that woman.
Ava agrees. Is she married or something?
Brady explains that he didn’t know she was Xander’s mother at first and asks Ava not to mention it to anyone. Given that Brady is responsible for paralyzing Fiona’s daughter-in-law, it would be best if Xander did not know about it. Ava agrees to keep quiet.
Ava admits they barely know one another, but if he needs to talk, he knows where to find her.

Interesting that they had Brady confide in Ava about his connection to Fiona. Now Ava has the info she needs to solve two crimes. And she is smart enough to do it.

Ava is an odd choice to confide in. Just because Ava saw him with someone at the pub doesn't mean he had to tell her who Fiona was or that they slept together.

Anyone else got a Ava Will piece it together vibe and set up for a possible romance?
I feel like this is the second time it appears to be a chemistry test between them and since Kristin dropped her cuz Gabi said so she won’t care about moving in on Brady

Interesting that they had Brady confide in Ava about his connection to Fiona. Now Ava has the info she needs to solve two crimes. And she is smart enough to do it. I don't know if Ava is smart enough to connect some dots but you are right, she has her hands in deeper in these cases than anyone else in Salem. |

Anyone else got a Ava Will piece it together vibe and set up for a possible romance? I feel like this is the second time it appears to be a chemistry test between them and since Kristin dropped her cuz Gabi said so she won’t care about moving in on Brady Just my two cents I got that vibe especially coming from Ava's side. Brady seemed too preoccupied to notice Ava was practically hitting on him. |

The cinematography outside the Pub in the evening is always rich looking. Ava seems to be interested in Brady. I guess this would be a match up worthy of at least a trial run. They are both resolutely single now so it makes sense.
Kind of funny though as Brady pointed out they don't really know each other as their Salem paths have rarely crossed.
