Sarah comes into her bedroom in her wheelchair. Maggie says, "There you are." Sarah responds, "And there you are." Maggie says she hopes it’s okay, and that she wants to talk about Victoria’s upcoming first birthday. Sarah remarks, "And you want to help me with my wheelchair. I can get in bed by myself." Maggie stands there while Sarah tries to get into bed. Holly watches from the doorway.
Holly comes in, saying she can help too, and they both get Sarah into bed.
Sarah asks, "Who moved the bed up a foot? I’m going to sue." She wonders where she gets her stubbornness from. Maggie says Sarah is strong and determined and will be getting into bed by herself soon. Holly apologizes. Sarah reiterates that the accident wasn’t Holly’s fault and that there's only one person to blame, the person who hit her.
Holly insists, "You can’t let me off that easy. I was lying to everyone about Tate." Sarah tells her that if she wants to feel guilty about lying, that’s fine, but she’s not allowed to feel guilty about what happened to Sarah. "The only person to blame is the driver who hit me. Am I getting through to you at all?" Holly thanks Sarah for being so kind to her, but she wishes she could go back in time and not take the key Sarah tells her hindsight is 20/20, and after working in the hospital, she’s learned people can’t control what happens to them—they just handle the circumstances as best as they can. Maggie adds, "And we can be grateful that Aunt Sarah is getting better every day." Sarah agrees, though not as fast as she’d like, she’s grateful.
Maggie offers to have Henderson bring Sarah a snack, but. Sarah says she wants to check on Victoria. Maggie says not now, as Victoria is in the kitchen with Bonnie, taste-testing all the ice cream. Maggie adds that they were at the pool earlier, and Victoria was pulling herself up on the rail, getting ready to walk. Sarah gets upset that she can’t walk with her but is glad her little girl is growing up. She acknowledges that she’s lucky to have a wonderful husband and a beautiful little girl, and the wheelchair won’t change that. "It’s Victoria’s first birthday party tomorrow." Maggie tells her, "That smile of yours and the light in your eyes when you see her…"
Later, Sarah is alone in bed, going over a list for the party. Xander comes in and offers to help. She tells Xander her mom has it covered.
Fiona comes in, glad to see Sarah. Xander mentions that he’s trying to get Justin to ditch Brady as a client. Fiona looks mad.
Sarah tells Xander she understands he’s angry, but Brady is family, and she gets why Justin didn’t want to abandon him. Xander says he couldn’t do it. Fiona worries that this will wear on Sarah, suggesting they focus on Victoria’s birthday. Sarah agrees. Fiona says she’s there for any help Sarah needs. Sarah calls that sweet. Fiona tells her Sarah is like a daughter to her now and she's just so sorry this happened, especially right at the start of Sarah's married life which should have been the happiest day of her life.
Sarah stares into space. She has a flashback, a brief flash of memory, of a blurry image of Fiona driving the car that hit her. She says she is starting to remember.

Poor Holly. The guilt is eating her up. Meanwhile Fiona looks like she swallowed a ghost.
I for one would prefer Fiona exposed by good old fashioned detective work. If Sarah "remembers" it was Fiona that won't be nearly as much fun.
I am also IRRTATED at the IMPOTENCE of the police department notably Jada now that she is running things.
Maggie's slip of the tongue about Vicky "walking soon" really stung but Maggie caught herself.

I love Maggie and Sarah, but I'm ready for Sarah and Xander to get some alone time away from their mothers. I'd like to see how they negotiate being a couple with her new disability. Eden and Cruz had a ton of paralysis sex back in the day on Santa Barbara. I'd like to see that please.

I’d like Sarah to get her mobility back I’m not interested in her paralysis being a from now on thing or something that’s dragged out over a year I know some people like it I’m just not feeling it

I chuckled when Maggie was being helicopter Mom with Sarah. Reminded me of what I was like when my kids and grandbabies were first learning to walk or while they were growing up and going thru so many stages in their lives... where I am trying to keep them safe and keep them from getting hurt but knowing and trying to let them do it on their own. Figuring out when to step in or just being there for support.
I wonder if we will actually see Victoria with Sarah making adjustments or continue with a gurling or crying "stroller baby" again?
I agree, great having the Moms about and helping but looking forward to Xander and Sarah exploring their new normal as husband and wife as well as a family.
