Gabi has a dream she and Stefan made up. She wakes up to see EJ on the other side of a very large bed. They both agree it was a good way to get revenge on Stefan but neither has forgotten what the other has done...Gabi blowing up EJ’s marriage; EJ sending Gabi to prison for a crime she didn’t commit. EJ is ready to break the news to Stefan but Gabi is reluctant. He thinks she still loves Stefan which she denies. He admits that having sex with her didn’t dispel his feelings for Nicole or his disgust that she and Eric are living happily in Paris. He is surprised she doesn’t want to stick it to Stefan considering all her past deeds, which he enumerates. But he knows if he had the chance to get back with Nicole he’d take it. So if she is holding out hope to reconcile with Stefan, he will not say a word about last night. Gabi doesn’t know why she’s getting cold feet since she really wants to get back at Stefan. EJ advises her to think it through. Once the cat’s out of the bag, there’s no putting it back. Gabi asks why he’s being so nice. He says it’s because he had his heart broken recently. Stefan knocks at the door to ask EJ if he’s seen Gabi. He doesn’t wait to be invited in before entering.

These are the only scenes I watched. I liked their conversation. They are refreshingly honest.

EJ was on point and in focus post coitus and I LOVED it when he brought up Gabi's torrid past most notably the period when she was controlling Julie's frail heart like a puppet master. That was both inane and insane.
The worst part of the show was Gabi growing soft again on Stefan. I prefer the mean ornery Gabi. Not the soft pillow Gabi that might land her back with dull beat Stefan.

After today's episode, I see zero chemistry between EJ and Gabi. And the actor playing EJ (Dan Feuruggal whose name I can never spell without looking it up) is one of those actors who has chemistry with pretty much every scene partner.

I am relieved EJ and Gabi look to have no future together which is the way it should be. That said I don't want Gabi back with Stefan either Found it interesting EJ used the phrase "hate sex" which might have originated from the JJ/Eve mashup. Days might have started a phrase. Seinfeld had their own twist with their "makeup sex" phrase.

EJ is no stranger to hate sex, as that was pretty much his relationship with Sami. That and grief sex. Their relationship was seriously the most toxic (and yes I know I'm making their fanbase upset with that).
I do love Dan's portrayal of EJ much better. He's a natural and brings a human side to the character. I think EJ has really matured. He's still a bit toxic, but he knows what he wants in a relationship.
