Will try to make this brief… In Abe’s apartment Abe tells Kate about the 3-way that included Chanel and Alex. He worries about them working together and its affect on Chanel and Johnny’s marriage. They head to the B&S offices. At B&S offices Alex and Chanel trade barbs when they learn they will be working together in romantic scenes. Watching them spar, Johnny can see why Abe thought it was a good idea to cast them together. When Kate and Abe arrive, Chanel and Alex do their on-camera audition (same lines as we heard them rehearse yesterday). Chanel doesn’t want to do the kiss but the producers say it’s important to see if they can “sell” it. So they do. Kate and Abe declare they got the jobs. Johnny appears uneasy. Alex signs his contract and tells Abe he didn't realize how much he wanted this job.
In the square Chanel is excited she got the part. When he questions whether she’ll be okay working with Alex, she says it’s part of the job but the best part is she’ll be working with her brilliant husband. They kiss.

I wonder if the whole purpose for B&S is to create a triangle for Johnny and Chanel with Alex. Pretty darn forced.

I wonder if the whole purpose for B&S is to create a triangle for Johnny and Chanel with Alex. Pretty darn forced. That would be forced. The backstage intrigue with B&S with Alex/Chanel and Bonnie/Hattie offers a few diverting complications. Granted no one will confuse the backstage drama here with "All About Eve," one of the greatest movies of all time. But Days wants to go full boar here and I for one am pleased intelligent Johnny is steering the ship. His cool handed demeanor will be sorely tested when say the battling Divas have it out on the set. I am going with the flow right now albeit I thought that kiss was a bit too intimate and can understand Johnny's confusion. And if past history is any sort of a guide Chanel is not one to be entirely trusted in these matters. Chanel was reading the same lines that Steph was reading but unlike goofy Steph she read the off the wall brain transfer material in a straightforward way. And Alex (Arrow) was a what an AI generated "hologram"." Pretty funny stuff. At least Days can be self-deprecating at times.
