Roman closed the Pub for Labor Day and decided to focus on Kate. Kate thinks he works too hard and should close the Pub a day or two a week. Roman doesn’t like the idea of the place being empty two days a week. Kate says it wouldn’t have to be if he let her and Abe use the location to film Body and Soul.
So, she wants to turn his family’s beloved Irish Pub into a soap opera set. Kate assures him he won’t have to lift a finger. The crew would put everything back the way they found it at the end of the taping day. And is Roman going to disappoint her and Abe, his best friend in the world?
Kate tells him the Pub will be more popular than ever once Body and Soul is a hit. They can sell hats, t-shirts, etc. Roman relents. He just wants her and Abe to do well. Good, then can he get Kayla to let them use the nurse’s station for their hospital set?
Bonnie barges in after Kate leaves. Roman says they’re closed for Labor Day. Bonnie says that labor should be fair and equitable. Leo wouldn’t take her seriously, then Kate and Abe need to before that hack of a writer gets the show canceled after its first episode. Hattie arrives (still dressed as Marlena) and asks Roman to choose between her and Bonnie.

Neat idea using the Pub as the centerpiece hang out joint for "Body and Soul."

At least Roman mentioned his employees being unhappy losing 2 days pay.
Why not film after hours/overnight? That way no business is disrupted.

At least Roman mentioned his employees being unhappy losing 2 days pay. Why not film after hours/overnight? That way no business is disrupted. I was at the sight of a movie shoot downtown where I live. If I was a little quicker on my feet, I might have had a chance to become an extra who were getting paid. But I sauntered into everything as they were just getting ready to shoot a scene. Speaking of getting paid local businesses were getting paid for closing during the shoot. I actually saw "cold cash" being handed out. I guess cheapo "Body & Soul" doesn't have that in their so-called budget. Some fans were eager to get autographs during the actor downtimes. Not my cup of tea.
