Happy September everyone! Here's this week's questions...
1. Tate confessed to Brady that he had been sneaking around all summer, only for Brady to run off to confess to running over Sarah. Now that Tate and Holly's hiding in the cabin story has sputtered to its end, rate it from 1 (stupidest story ever) to 10 (so great I wish it hadn't ended).
2. In the short time Fiona has been in town, she's done a lot of drinking with Brady, run over Sarah, and is now letting Brady take the fall. What do you hope happens when the truth finally comes out?
3. How do you feel about EJ and Gabi sleeping together?
4. Who do you think will be the first to figure out what "Abby" is up to?
5. Now that Stephanie is dealing with Everett's death, will she have a better understanding of why Chad wasn't ready to move on with her?
6. Will Connie kidnapping Melinda lead to her finally getting caught?

I guess a 2 or so. It's not as dumb as Connie (1) or Body and Soul (0), and I like how ultimately it had consequences.

I hope that Xander is able to have the self awareness to recall that he did the exact same thing to Will, letting him take the fall for running Adrienne off the road in order to protect Maggie's "involvement". He of all people should know what it is like to do an awful thing and then cover it up with more awful decisions. I don't think he should forgive and forget, but I think he needs to realize he would have likely done the same thing once.
3. How do you feel about EJ and Gabi sleeping together?
Excited! Anything to break up the bore of those Gabi/Stefan/Ava scenes. And more EJ is always a good thing.
4. Who do you think will be the first to figure out what "Abby" is up to?
Thomas. Only brain box in the family.
5. Now that Stephanie is dealing with Everett's death, will she have a better understanding of why Chad wasn't ready to move on with her?
No. Stephanie is already moving on with Alex, let's face it. She and Everett were not at the same level of commitment as Chad and Stephanie.
6. Will Connie kidnapping Melinda lead to her finally getting caught?
Yes. The fact she has spilled everything to Connie, from the Li murder to the Everett murder to the Rafe stabbing, means that Melinda will be able to nail her once she escapes. Please let it be soon!
7. Share anything else you'd like to mention about this week's DAYS not covered above.
The editors are clearly very aware that Body and Soul is a disaster, as evidenced by it being absent this week completely. The first three episodes of the week were pretty much all the Brady/Sarah/Xander/Fiona plot, with Holly/Tate/Justin woven in, and it works so well when the show is cohesive like that. Thursday/Friday were a bit of a let down, but I am mostly interested in Fabby and what is going on there, like the direction of Gabi and EJ, and don't even hate Connie now it is going somewhere. Alas, half the cast is involved in the fake soap and most of them are contract actors, so they are going to have to mass shove episodes of this at us next week. Show will be unwatchable until Thursday.
8. What were the best and worst scenes on this week's Days of Our Lives?
Best: Xander making it clear to Sarah that her paralysis doesn't change his love for her at all. That is true love. And something we are in short supply of on this show. Right now, they are the only stable couple on the show, and I really love this plot line for them, as it keeps them together against adversity, instead of their usual trope of being pulled apart by one of his lies.
Worst: Roman hanging out with Ava. The woman let his FATHER die a slow death by suffocation. He should not let her live there. He should not have let her work there. He should not give her the time of day. He should not let Ava know he thinks Kayla should get over it, as if killing Shawn wasn't enough, Ava also raped Steve.

My thoughts…

I’ll say 5. They have grown on me throughout this summer and I’m glad they remained celibate. The actor playing Tate is a good actor but he still seems too old for the role.
2. In the short time Fiona has been in town, she's done a lot of drinking with Brady, run over Sarah, and is now letting Brady take the fall. What do you hope happens when the truth finally comes out?
I hope Xander lets her have it and disowns her. I hope Brady lets her have it, and Maggie too. She should be in prison. If the rumors are true that she’s dying, then I guess her death will be her “get out of jail” card and everyone will forgive her.
3. How do you feel about EJ and Gabi sleeping together?
So far, they are not appealing. It feels really forced, not sexy. I would like more romance and not anger sex.
4. Who do you think will be the first to figure out what "Abby" is up to?
Not me! LOL. I do think she and Mark are being forced into this. They don’t appear comfortable with what they’re doing;
5. Now that Stephanie is dealing with Everett's death, will she have a better understanding of why Chad wasn't ready to move on with her?
That sounds too deep for Days.
6. Will Connie kidnapping Melinda lead to her finally getting caught?
Let’s hope! I really don’t care about Melinda and it’s torture to watch her try to untie her ropes endlessly. She’s not an interesting character. But I guess it’s better than the same old people getting kidnapped yet again.
7. Share anything else you'd like to mention about this week's DAYS not covered above.
The acting is phenomenal in the Sarah/Xander storyline with Fiona being the seriously weak link. I find her unwatchable. I also find Chad unwatchable. The Abby story is not interesting to me at all.
8. What were the best and worst scenes on this week's Days of Our Lives?
Best scenes were Xander with and without Sarah. Brady turning himself in was an unexpected surprise. I like Kristen supporting him. But people need to stop talking to themselves about secrets aloud.

Answer: I'll give it a 4, but it's being boosted by the Body and Soul nonsense. I am happy that Tate and Holly know that their deception inadvertently led to Sarah being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm curious to see how that plays out.

Answer: I wish we had more of a chance to care about Fiona and believe that she really cared about her son before all of this happened. As it is, her actions and lies are completely self-serving, and I don't care if she gets arrested or runs off.
3. How do you feel about EJ and Gabi sleeping together?
Answer: Eh. It's more interesting than listening to Gabi and Stefan argue nonstop. At least they'll have something else to argue about. And I generally like anything that gives EJ more screentime.
4. Who do you think will be the first to figure out what "Abby" is up to?
Answer: Kristen is usually good at ferreting out a scheme as she has lots of experience running them. Thomas will likely know, but I doubt anyone will take him seriously.
5. Now that Stephanie is dealing with Everett's death, will she have a better understanding of why Chad wasn't ready to move on with her?
Answer: Maybe, but even if she does, I'll be shocked if it's mentioned for more than a sentence or two.
6. Will Connie kidnapping Melinda lead to her finally getting caught?
Answer: Oh, I hope so. I'm so tired of Connie. It would like to see Melinda and Ava team up to take her down.
7. Share anything else you'd like to mention about this week's DAYS not covered above.
Answer. Thank goodness there was much less Body and Soul schlock this week. My daughter actually said she was happy I didn't get paid to review the show anymore so we could fast-forward through all of Body and Soul.
8. What were the best and worst scenes on this week's Days of Our Lives?
Answer: Best: All things Sarah, Xander, and Maggie. John figured out what was going on with Brady while Dr. Evans continued talking in circles.
Worst: Was there Body and Soul this week? I'm so traumatized by that storyline that I find I block it out. And the Faux-Abigail storyline has already gotten boring. Am I supposed to care about Dr. Greene's? involvement? We don't really know him, so why does it matter?
