Chad asks if "Abby" wants him to move out. "Abby" responds that it isn’t fair to the kids for Chad to have to split his focus. He asks, "If I leave, what are you going to do?" She says that if it’s okay with his family, she’ll just stay here. He says, "No, no, I don’t like that idea."

Chad insists it’s not that he doesn’t want "Abby" there, but his family is nuts—there’s duct tape across the living room! "Abby" explains that Gabi and Stefan are having some sort of disagreement. Chad says his family handles disagreements in weird ways, and he doesn’t want to leave her alone with them. "Abby" asks is that the real reason... or is he afraid she might sleep with one of his brothers again?

Chad denies that. He doesn’t want "Abby" in a house full of strangers. She responds that she doesn’t want to jerk the children around, but it won’t be long before she gets her memories back. Chad agrees, especially after what he’s put them through. She asks, "What?" He admits he was going to wait but could never find the right time. He reveals that when he believed she was dead, he made the mistake of thinking he was ready to move on, and the kids got attached to a woman he later broke up with, leaving them heartbroken. She apologizes, but he says it was with her cousin Stephanie.

Abby" questions Chad for a second and he says he didn't move on right away. Abby says she has no reason to be upset since she slept with his brothers, even if one of them wasn’t exactly consensual. Chad demands to know who told her that—EJ or Stefan? He explains that they knew he didn’t want her to know and feel overwhelmed. She says it wasn’t them, it was Gabi.

"Abby" recalls Gabi telling her she had DID and that they were friends, then enemies, then frenemies. Chad rants about Gabi and Stefan, telling "Abby" to stay away from his whole family, adding that they’re all crazy and Kristen needs a user manual. "Abby" asks if she can’t stay with him and she can’t stay here, what are their alternatives? Chad says he has an idea.

Chad suggests putting "Abby" up at the Salem Inn. She thanks him, saying he’s so wonderful and explaining that she was alone in her apartment and doesn’t want to live by herself again. She hopes the family would be on their best behavior around her. Chad agrees if that’s what she wants. She hopes she didn’t offend him, but Chad says she doesn’t owe him an apology. He promises to look out for her while she’s there. He’ll go pack and tell the family what’s going on. She thanks him, and he tells her to call if she needs anything before leaving. She sighs to herself.
