Brady thanks Justin for coming. Justin asks Jada to leave them alone. Justin doesn’t understand how Brady could do this. Brady says he understands if Justin doesn’t want this case, since Xander and Sarah are family. Brady is his family too. Brady says what he did to Sarah was evil. Justin says he needs to tell him everything that happened that night. Brady tells him that the truth is, he doesn’t remember.
Brady tells Justin that he had been getting drunk and had been on benders, that the night in question he was at Small Bar drinking, and he assumes he hit Sarah on the way home. He woke up in the driving seat of his car, with a splitting headache, and no memory of how he got there. When he heard about the grey car, he realized he might be the driver. He says his car was damaged on the front fender. He is ashamed it took him this long, but he had to do the right thing. Justin listens, then points out that he doesn’t actually know for sure that he is guilty.
Justin points out that Brady has no memories of the incident. Brady says it had to have been him. Damaged car, partial plate matches, he hit her, he did it. He remembers the screeching tires. It plays non stop in his head. Justin tells him to reconsider making a full confession. As his lawyer, he advises him to tell the police only what he has told him, and nothing more. He is not to admit guilt. That is for a jury to decide. Brady knows Justin is doing his job, but what he did to Sarah is inexcusable and he has to make things right.
Just outside, Xander storms in demanding to know where Brady is. Jada tries to get him to calm down. She wants him to go home to Sarah. Xander wants to know how Brady could just hit Sarah and drive off. Jada says all his questions will be answered in time. Xander has a moment of realization and says “Wait…is that addict off the wagon again?” Jada says yes, Brady had been drinking. She tries to get Xander to go into her office, but he has already headed into the interrogation room and has his hands around Brady’s throat.
Justin is trying to pull Xander off Brady who is choking and turning red. Jada comes in and tries to help. Neither of them is can get Xander’s hands off Brady. Justin appeals to Xander to think about Sarah and Victoria who need him. That gets through to him and he lets Brady go. Brady coughs and splutters. Xander turns on Justin, wanting to know how Justin can defend Brady. He left Sarah to die in the street. Brady talks straight to Xander. He says he didn’t mean to hurt her. He’s sorry. Tell Sarah he’s sorry. Xander says that is not happening. He swears to God, Brady will pay for this. He is going to make sure he spends the rest of his life rotting in prison. Brady looks distraught, Xander’s face is a mess of anger and grief. Mostly anger. End of show!

Almost laughed as Xander tried to strangle Brady which was predictable.
Justin was the star today but even he came up short. Should have asked were you ALONE that night?
Columbo would figure this out within a day and Fiona would be arrested within a week.
Brady's stupidity is driving me up a wall.
Justin should have asked Brady about every detail that day. Hopefully he does. He HAS to. And he will keep the Fiona tango confidential being his lawyer.
As member carolineleg suggested one brilliant clue would be to trace Brady hooking up with Fiona at The Small Bar that day/night. Which would require the waiter who insulted Brady to give that evidence. But will he? That will be interesting. Brady wanted to knock his teeth out.
The car needs to be FOUND. Fiona was NOT wearing gloves, so her fingerprints are on the wheel along with Brady's of course. But it is HIS car so why should her fingerprints be on the steering wheel. Of course, the irony here is Kristen is hiding the evidence that would actually help clear Brady. The stupidity is running rampant in Salem with this storyline.
Columbo would NEVER arrest a suspect who claims they probably committed the crime but couldn't remember.
Justin has to break this down minute by minute and dumbass of the year Brady needs to cough up the fact he was WITH Fiona that night. He surely remembers that.
Of course, no one in town knows they have been in a "let's get drunk bang each other" relationship.
These are key clues besides the fact Fiona has NO alibi for that night. I want to see this bitch exposed the old-fashioned way.
The irony is piss mad Xander and everyone else in town has fingered Brady, including Brady when it was his so-called loving ma who was responsible for the terrible deed.
Also this story shows us what happens when people ASSUME too much and come to the wrong conclusions. Group stupidity.

I'm enjoying it though horizon - Rather this than the crapshow that is Body & Soul. And Brady is always stupid, so this tracks.

They are doing a pretty good job with it although it is frustrating the hell out of me which I suspect is the point. Certainly, feels like new writers are giving the story some synchronicity and integration.

Stupid overused trope. Who on earth is surprised that Xander tried to strangle Brady?
Xander isn't this stupid that he'd risk going to prison at a time when his wife and daughter need him most?

It's the thing on this show for men to beat the crap out of each other. As long as Brady doesn't press charges it won't matter, despite being done in front of a cop.

It would show character growth for Xander if he didn't default to violence. I would have preferred to see him confront Brady with words, telling him he'd like to strangle him but he won't leave Sarah without a husband and Victoria without a father. Instead, he will do everything he can do legally to ensure Brady never sees sunlight again.
So, when the truth comes out about Fiona, will Xander try to strangle her? Now THAT I would like to see.

Especially with little Vicky in tow. Some maturity would be in order. A baby will set a person straight in no time. Strangle Fiona. Double Ha. I fear Jada doesn't have what it takes to get to the bottom of things. And I would hope Justin starts asking more relevant questions. Justin was right. Brady should not admit to anything and why should he. The dunce doesn't remember doing it. He is just ASSUMING. Which is the word of the week because so many nitwits in Salem and in his inner circle are ASSUMING Brady did it because he was stone drunk.
