I think Days should have kept Madison. I like and don't like her with Brady...I don't totally mind them, but just think they could have been written a LOT better. Normally I am a Broe fan, but since Chloe is not on, I can stomach Madison and Brady (somewhat). I just think I would be more on board (maybe) if the writers had taken their time with telling their story.
However, just because I may or may not be a Brady and Madison fan, does not mean I dislike Madison by herself. I think that the writers were giving her character a little bit of a history, first with her talking about her family and raising her brothers and sisters and being close to her mom. Her father leaving when they were young and all that. And than of course, there is Ian that is part of her history that we see. I just think personally, written a little bit better, polishing up what the original writers did give to her, I think Tomlin and Whitesell could have easily done more to shape her character into more. I mean so far, her character can already stand up against Victor and can hold her own with Kate and Sami, which I think if you can stand your ground with all of them, you have definite potential. Plus she is a career woman and started a company of her own and works hard and gives it all her sweat and tears and I think that is definitely a worthwhile character and woman to keep in Salem.
So do I think that Days should have kept Madison? Yes I do 100%. I also love Sarah Brown and think she is a wonderful, talented and strong actress and Days definitely needs that on the show.

I actually really liked Madison when she first arrived, but then they started to change her character. The whole Bradison relationship was foisted on us & it was so obvious they were pushing it...I would have preferred to get to really know how & have her interact with many other characters before they decided to put Bradison together. Once they got together, it was sex, sex & more sex and she ignored her business...then they made her a huge liar. This character never had a chance and now she is too ruined to be able to fix. Sarah is a talented actress and I wish her well.

Mostly I feel bad for Sarah that she (seemingly) was offered one role, but it morphed into a completely different one. Her arrival was great. She was a strong woman and Salem sorely needed another one (especially to stand up to Kate). But then Ian crept up and she became just another weak female controlled by a jerky man. And on top of all that, her relationship with Brady was so fast and so silly, it was hard to believe and root for. Unless there is going to be a 180 turn around with the character (which I don't see happening) I don't think Days should keep Madison. It's a shame that Sarah got screwed, but that's showbiz.

I don't think Madison should stay. I was excited at the possiblities that her character had at the beginning, but she's turning out to be just a bore. Her "big secret" was just as much of a let down b/c we knew long before Ian came to town that someone else was calling the shots. And now, just because she has an indirect storyline with Stefano due to Ian's relationship with Kate doesn't make it any more enjoyable. She's collateral damage that just needs to happen already.

It seems like the writers can't make up their mind about Madison. The character went downhill quickly for me. Her insta-romance with Brady didn't help. I think the attraction was fine but we went from attraction to jumping in bed to a marriage proposal in record time. There was no time to get invested in the relationship or the story. The business story is up and down too. Sometimes she's 200% dedicated to MadWorld and then goes through a spurt where she cancels meetings and such to spend the day in bed with Brady.

Sarah is a good actress that deserved better writing. I was yelling to her in my mind when she took the job..."Don't come to Days girl. You are so much better than this mess." She didn't listen and now she is unemployed.
