Downstairs at the mansion, Jennifer is happy and stunned that Abigail is alive. Chad tries to prepare Jennifer that Abigail looks different and remembers nothing. Jennifer understands and will accept whoever she is right now. Chad goes to see what’s keeping her. Jack hugs Jennifer.
Upstairs, Abigail tells someone that everything is going according to plan but she’s nervous. She ends her call when Chad shows up and says she was talking to some nurse who took care of her in Poplar Bluff after the accident. Chad reminds her that Jennifer is waiting. She says she needs a minute to change her clothes. She thanks Chad for being patient. He intends to wait as long as needed.
Chad returns to Jennifer and Jack. Abigail enters and Jennifer appears shocked. Jennifer introduces herself and reaches out to touch her hair. She immediately says “This isn’t my daughter.” Jennifer falls apart. She doesn’t know why she’s reacting this way. She thought she’d feel a connection but she doesn’t. She runs out screaming “I’m sorry I’m sorry.”
Abigail goes to her room to let the others deal with this. Chad is upset. It’s a giant step backwards. He can’t risk driving Abby away. After a scene break, Jack and Chad have come up with some plan or other. Jennifer returns to the room. She’s mortified at her behavior. Jack tells Jennifer they should go back to Boston until Abby gets her memory back. Everyone needs space. Jack says, “After she gets her memory back, she will be Abigail in every sense of the word.” Jennifer reluctantly agrees.
Abigail comes down and Jennifer explains they’re going away and will tell JJ to postpone his trip. Jack says if she needs anything, just call. Chad walks them out.

I forgot how abrasive this "new" Jennifer was and I for one am glad she is headed back to Boston.
This storyline is too absurd to connect. At least Jennifer's reaction was more in tune with things. Cripes could one look any different.
I guess mopey ass Chad is digging the idea his reincarnated wife is a beauty queen. His lethargy is annoying and at this point I hope he does get sizzled by all of this.
I did find it funny when Jennifer didn't wave back at "Abigail."

They need to compare Jennifer's DNA to "Abigail" as well.

They need to compare Jennifer's DNA to "Abigail" as well. None of these people have their feet on the ground. Suspension of disbelief in full force when it is too achingly obvious this woman does not appear to be Abigail using every formula available. Jack looks like he is lost in a fog. And droopy mopey cloying Chad needs smelling salts. This is an offshoot of one of Ron's favorite pet toys, the dreaded mask, which thankfully hasn't been employed in ages. Sure, the plastic surgeon transformed plain injured cut up Abigail into this this beauty. If so, he would have women lined up at his door for miles. Too far removed from reality to suit me. Almost funny but it isn't.

Considering how many people in Salem have had plastic surgery to make them look like other people in the past 30 years, it's not unreasonable for anyone to buy the plastic surgery excuse.
However, I loved Jennifer realizing she had no connection with "Abigail." It's one of the only times in recent years her instincts have been on point. This was my favorite scene today.
My only disappointment was that JJ wasn't there, as he also tends to have these epiphanies that the rest of the family thinks are ridiculous, only to be proven correct time and time again. And considering how contentious his relationship with Jennifer has been at times, it would be interesting for him to be on her side.
It's also very disappointing that Jack and Jennifer are heading back to Boston almost as quickly as they came. Jennifer should be using the Spectator resources to investigate whether this is really her daughter.

I was hoping for Melissa Reeves when they said Jennifer was coming back. I had forgotten how much I disliked this Jennifer.
While I'm glad to see that she has her doubts about this being Abigail (after hearing Abigail's phone call), her over the top reaction and running out of the room screaming just made me thing of an episode of the "The Office" where Michael finds that Toby has come back. That repetitive screeching drove me nuts.

I too liked Jennifer noticing there was no connection, but I'm with you mae00 . The over the top screeching and running out of the room was unbearable. People are always saying Cady Mclain is a great actress, but she is horrible in the role of Jennifer.

I liked that Jennifer didn't feel the connection, and also wish that they'd test her DNA. Jennifer-girl, go with your gut. Also, her freak out was a little weird, but I guess so is this storyline.

People are always saying Cady Mclain is a great actress, but she is horrible in the role of Jennifer. It is so odd, she was great on All My Children as Dixie. And Rosanna on As the World Turns. She won Emmys for both of those roles (and, in fact, for Jennifer). But she was just awful here. And terrible during her drug overdose tenure last year.
