Hey guys. What do you think is entertaining and not entertaining on the show these days?
Like for me, watching repeated flashbacks of Li's murder is not entertaining.
For me, Leo is typically entertaining regardless of what he's doing because his dialogue and delivery is so clever.
How about you?

Characters like Alex being recasted by a character from yesterday or Gwen becoming Theresa is not entertaining Marlena in general is not entertaining
I agree about Leo as I love his lines and witty remarks He just gives a little something extra to the show

I feel like the show has been lackluster. I know some of it is writing (and the strike), but a lot of it is just really stupid storytelling. It's like they aren't thinking through stories, just throwing things out there with no real focus. It's turning some of the characters into unlikeable people I don't enjoy watching. Or causing scenes to fall flat.
Li's murder, for example. Lazy writing to have a character we've never seen be a part of something so big.
I also agree that the staff character change is really disturbing. I still can't see Gwen as Theresa. Plus, no offense to the actress, but she isn't Theresa. She doesn't capture her spirit. So, it's hard to buy into the story when it's just a bad fit. Also, why kill Adrienne if you wanted to keep the actress for Bonnie? It really makes no sense and wasn't thought out. Bonnie is unlikeable. Same with killing Jake (loveable) for Stephan (really creepy and unlovable). It really makes no sense.
And the focus on the characters that don't matter. Like Paulina and Abe. I like them in small doses, but Abe has become Paulina's side kick. Paulina's dialog is one note: woe is me.
I've honestly been wondering if it's time to retire watching DOOL. It's not entertaining for me anymore. There's only a few couples I'm rooting for and I really hope the show doesn't drag them through the muck with seriously lame stories. (Xander/Sarah, Johnny/Chanel, Tate/Holly).
