Great questions ProudTVJunkie . Here are my thoughts.

1. This was Doug’s (Bill Hayes) last scene on Days. What are your thoughts?
It was bittersweet. It was so heartfelt because Susan and Bill were married in real life for nearly 50 years. I’m glad the show took the time to honor this man and this couple one last time. This is one thing they did right.

2. Did Gabi expose Jude’s paternity at the press conference because she wanted Eric to have his child back or to get her revenge against EJ?
Gabi barely knows Eric so everything she said about that was bull. She wanted revenge. That’s what Gabi lives for.

3. Were you surprised how quickly Nicole turned on EJ and left once she learned the truth?
Nicole didn’t appear to have any second thoughts or remorse over ending her relationship with EJ. She proved him 100% right that she’d walk out on him if she learned Jude was Eric’s bio child. If she really loved EJ, she’d try to understand his motives and work at staying together. So this was not a surprise since it’s Eric she’s wanted all along, despite their many disastrous attempts at a long-term relationship.

4. If you could only choose to keep one, would you keep Bobby or Everett in Salem?
I can’t choose! I’d like Bobby to leave and take Everett with him. I really don’t care for Blake Berris.

5. Abigail’s body was not in the casket. Do you think she’s alive? Do you want her to be?
I found Marci’s portrayal of Abby very blah. She and Chad were a very blah, spiceless couple. So I don’t look forward to her return but I believe it’s inevitable so what I want doesn’t really matter. LOL.

6. So, Connie killed Li, set up Gabi, threatened Bobby, and stabbed Rafe. What do you think about this crazy twist?
Lazy writing pinning the crime on a forgettable character. I was okay with the murderer being Gil. We really didn’t need another lunatic in Salem.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?
Friday’s show was horrible. It was practically wall-to-wall flashbacks plus Connie’s hallucinations. All a waste of airtime. Also, not enough Sarah and Xander. So useless to saddle a favorite couple with a double wedding with an unrootable couple. Another overused trope.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week in Salem?
I actually found Marlena and Leo entertaining as they watched Drag Race. But it’s sad that that may be my favorite scene of the week.

Susan said as written their last scenes were pretty generic. She was pretty sure this would be Bill's last moments as Doug and rewrote them to be more meaningful. I'm so glad she did that. I hate that Victor's last moments were with Leo. I would have cut that and let his last episode be the November one with the lovely ending with Maggie on their anniversary.

Revenge. No question.

Nope. She's been emotionally cheating this entire time.

Bobby. Far more entertaining

Of course she is. I guess I want her to be so Chad stops moping.

Ridiculous time wasting nonsense featuring a non actress taking up screen time real characters are denied.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Connie every other day. Zero Xander and Sarah really as they are now an afterthought in their own, long anticipated second wedding.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week in Salem?

I only liked Justin and Xander talking about the pain he has been in since Theresa messed with his life. Rest of the week, apart from Doug and Julie, was not my cup of tea.

it was very well done! His last scene with Julie was beautiful!

100% about revenge. Gabi has never shown any care or interest for Eric. But she has regularly shown disdain, even hatred, for E.J. This had nothing to do with doing the right thing, it was all revenge.

3. Were you surprised how quickly Nicole turned on EJ and left once she learned the truth?
No.

4. If you could only choose to keep one, would you keep Bobby or Everett in Salem?
Bobby, he at least seems interesting, though I wouldn't want either around for long.

5. Abigail’s body was not in the casket. Do you think she’s alive? Do you want her to be?
She probably is, but I'd rather she wasn't.

6. So, Connie killed Li, set up Gabi, threatened Bobby, and stabbed Rafe. What do you think about this crazy twist?
Unexpected, and a bit anticlimactic. It was fine, I guess, but it didn't do anything for me.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?
Any time Kristen or Leo was onscreen. Starting to feel that way about Connie, as well. Also, Stefan's outrage that Gabi spilled the beans was stupid.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week in Salem?
Doug and Julie's final scenes together. Susan rewrote them perfectly!

I thought his final scene was well done. Doug trooper acting to the end.[/div]

I guess I have come round to the idea Gabi did it out of spite and revenge but that doesn't detract from her public service award for exposing EJ's terrible and fraudulent lie.

3. Were you surprised how quickly Nicole turned on EJ and left once she learned the truth?

Not especially. After all the deceit she has had to endure I fully understand her final straw approach. It helps that she still has deep feelings towards Eric. Her disappointment the day she read the Sloan tainted DNA results and Eric wasn't the match was OBVIOUS. 

4. If you could only choose to keep one, would you keep Bobby or Everett in Salem?

I find Bobby more amusing and cutting edge but was disappointed to see him go down the dark hallway of teaming up with Connie

5. Abigail’s body was not in the casket. Do you think she’s alive? Do you want her to be?

I am fully rooting for Abigail to return but this whole "mystery" around her (grainy video footage, grave robbing, Doc Kayla confused) is too ridiculous to even contemplate.

6. So, Connie killed Li, set up Gabi, threatened Bobby, and stabbed Rafe. What do you think about this crazy twist?

One of the least compelling murders ever on Days just got worse with the introduction of Connie. Granted at least Days came up with something vaguely plausible regarding Li's murder. But Connie is a sore thumb and the worst actor on Days since the miserable duo of Teenage Talia and Sloan's brother.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Connie the wooden creep. She has a dash of Nurse Whitley and Jan Spears but is not nearly as interesting as those two psychopaths. And those two aren't particularly first rate which only goes to show how bad this actor's portrayal has been.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week in Salem?

I loved the Eric/Nicole/Jude truth resolution and their epiphany at the airport was a long time coming. And baby Jude's smile lights up the sky.

Best quote was easy. Aaron flubbing Alex's last name pronouncing it "Kiriasik." Hilarious.

Answer: It was incredibly touching and heartfelt. The man was 98 years old, blind, and still bringing us joy in Salem.

2. Did Gabi expose Jude's paternity at the press conference because she wanted Eric to have his child back or to get her revenge against EJ?

Answer: This was all revenge. If this was about Eric, she would have gone to Eric or even Nicole. Instead, she took the first opportunity to humiliate EJ and didn't care what the consequences might be for Stefan.

3. Were you surprised how quickly Nicole turned on EJ and left once she learned the truth?

Answer: Yes, a little. Considering how she and EJ mourned this child when they thought he had died, you'd think she'd have some empathy for EJ losing the boy yet again. And given all the hell she put EJ and Sami through with Sydney, perhaps she would understand what led him down this road. But no, Nicole only wants Eric, and EJ was nothing more than a rich, attentive placeholder.

4. If you could only choose to keep one, would you keep Bobby or Everett in Salem?

Answer: Bobby. Everett and Stephanie are boring, although I'm beginning to think that might have more to do with Stephanie since I've found her boring with Alex and Chad, too. But Bobby has an edge and is unpredictable. So far, I'm enjoying having him as the dominant personality.

5. Abigail's body was not in the casket. Do you think she's alive? Do you want her to be?

Answer: More than likely, she's alive. Since Chad seems useless without her, I hope she does come back, but I think I'd like to see a new actress play her. Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi had wonderful chemistry, but since Mansi is on General Hospital, I don't expect her to be back. I liked Marci Miller, but the chemistry between her and Chad wasn't there. So, I'm willing to go with a recast if they bring Abby back.

6. So, Connie killed Li, set up Gabi, threatened Bobby, and stabbed Rafe. What do you think about this crazy twist?

Answer: I laughed through most of it, so I really can't complain.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Christine: I hate that they are pushing this double wedding nonsense. Are Maggie and Bonnie just tired of having weddings at the Kiriakis mansion and want to do a 2 for 1? That anyone would agree to it makes no sense.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week in Salem?

Answer: EJ being honest with Holly was one of the best scenes of the week. I also loved EJ trying to salvage his relationship with Nicole. You could really feel his heartbreak.

And how can anyone not love Doug and Julie's last scene together?
